Now that my vacation has passed, I am excited to share some recently published work on using the @Apple #smartwatch to predict single-stride and stride-to-stride fluctuation parameters during #gait.
@ABMEjournal

With only the IMU and machine learning (no personal details), we predicted single-stride parameters at 7-11% error and stride-to-stride fluctuation parameters at 18-22% error.
Predictions were both consistent and sensitive relative to optoelectronic motion capture.

The objections to the MyoSuite release seem mostly related to how it is presented, rather than the actual substance. This is an important, yet incremental, advance. Interactive graphic musculoskeletal surgery simulation has existed for more than 30 years!
