You've heard about Doug Liman's upcoming Bitcoin film, one of the first hybrid AI productions, made on a $70 million budget.
When I first saw the announcement, I always wondered: what's the budget breakdown?
For the first time, we've got answers. I sat down with producer @RyanKavanaugh and he walked me through all of it: where the cost went, what the workflow was actually like, and how this is going to reshape filmmaking.
• His first budget came back at $150 million. He shot it for $70 million.
• How this was split between ATL, BTL, and R&D (100 person crew - everyone got full freight)
• 213 locations across 18 countries, all shot in 21 days on one stage
• 130+ day players, shot in under 2 days
• 60 patents came out of building the system to do it, and they're already in production on a half dozen other hybrid projects

Ok very funny reference
Video Insert is now live on H3 Max, the fastest video model on the market and ranked #1 for video editing.
With this new endpoint you can now generate and then insert a new scene into an existing video with H3 Max. Guide the scene with a prompt, reference images, or reference videos, then return to the original footage.
Take your original videos and then add a seamless new scene within it.

Look, this is a bummer thread and we’re definitely going through an industry shift, but AI is like 3rd or 4th on list of causes and was barely a factor in the early 2020s.
When I’ve already maxed out my ChatGPT usage for the week
Please welcome GPT-6 Sol and GPT-6 Luna to the GPT-6 universe.

"Netflix’s TikTok-style video feed will “seamlessly” switch between vertical and horizontal video as users unfold the device"
Netflix has been working with Apple to redesign its app for the iPhone Duo:
• Billboard: Netflix’s featured content cards will use the larger display for more dynamic visual effects
• Clips: Netflix’s TikTok-style video feed will “seamlessly” switch between vertical and horizontal video as users unfold the device
• Playback: The video player and controls will automatically adapt whether the iPhone Duo is full screen, folded or propped up

I keep thinking I’m looking at DiscussingFish stories
But as a Waffle House connoisseur, I’m down with this

I had an extremely enlightening chat with @venturetwins as part of our Inside the AI Studio Interview series a few months ago at @aionthelot
The key takeaway (and I agree): AI agents can execute the workflow, but they still don’t have taste.
We also talk about:
• Why algorithms, not studios or distributors, may become the new gatekeepers
• How better video models are driving more AI content into everyday feeds
• Why microdramas are a natural fit for hybrid AI production
• How agents choosing tools could decide which models and platforms win

New York, we’re doing everything we can to keep you safe this hurricane season. I brought in an expert to help get us prepared.
Here's what you should do if a storm is on its way:
1. Check whether you live in a coastal evacuation zone and find your nearest City-run evacuation center at finder.nyc.gov/hurricane.
2. Pack a go bag with medications, important documents and other essentials.
3. Sign up for emergency alerts by texting NOTIFYNYC to 692-692.

This was a sex and the city episode - but if she was Samantha she'd get the agent to double down on commitments
i just found out my bestfriend broke up with her sf boyfriend over the weekend
i asked what happened
she goes "i found out he had an ai agent managing the relationship"
turns out the thoughtful texts, the check-ins, the good morning messages, the conflict resolution, dinner date plans...all automated
my friend was emotionally attached to a cron job
The pilot episode better be called “Thank the Phoenicians!”
Disney+ has ordered a pilot for a "Spaceship Earth" TV series inspired by the EPCOT ride of the same name.
The logline for the pilot states: "When a mission to avert an imminent global cataclysm goes awry, a small band of teenagers from Earth's past and future must join forces to confront a threat as vast and mysterious as time itself."

Chatting with the amazing @C47 on AI dramas, hybrid AI, and how audiences and studios approach this new era of storytelling
10,000+ fully AI made drama titles shipped last month, and people are paying more for them than they pay for Netflix.
New season of Inside the AI Studio kicks off with Sophia Xing (@xingsthatmatter), CEO of @plotpartyai, which produces AI micro dramas and sells the tools for anyone else to make them.
What we get into:
• The economics of microdramas
• How much of what you're watching is already AI
• Whether an audience will ever follow an AI actor
