I open X and the first thing I see is a priest being killed by a cross. X's algorithm clearly goes too far.

A lot of discoveries will be made not because AI is smarter than humans but because no human has invested the time to try out possible solutions.

CEOs should be personally liable if an AI model goes rogue and is not properly aligned.

You may recall that I warned about this repeatedly, starting years ago. Ledger devices need to be easily verifiable and completely open source.
⚠️ Beware if you use a Ledger hardware wallet, especially if you bought one recently. Based on information so far, it seems to be localized to a supply chain attack with one vendor. A small number of people probably bought fake (or tampered) Ledgers. Ledger is one of the most secure and oldest hardware wallets in the industry. Stood the test of time. But these things happen. I expect and know all BNB ecosystem players (and all industry) to help trace and recover the funds.

As GTA VI approaches, people without a PS5 will realize that they suddenly need a console… most don't plan ahead. The PS5 Pro is already in short supply, the normal PS5 will likely follow suit in the coming weeks. This is your kind reminder to get a PS5 if you need one.

Rolling back my Macs to MacOS Sequoia to get my sanity back. MacOS 27 Golden Gate is a mess.

On the new MacOS 27, the OS and System Data take 73 GB of storage space! 22 GB of that is "Apple Intelligence" which you cannot opt-out of. I can't even use Apple Intelligence but it takes space regardless. What's going on @Apple? One way to entice people to upgrade I guess. I will do the opposite and downgrade to MacOS Sequoia which was stable at least. No idea what's going on with that company nowadays, Apple just does not give a damn about their users anymore.

Are you optimistic, pessimistic or neutral about the future (next 10 years)? In general, not crypto-specific.

In MacOS 27 Golden Gate, opening a context menu or a menu bar section takes about 300ms. They tried some tricks to make things FEEL faster by making animations faster… overall the OS is full of bugs, Sequoia is a polished OS while MacOS 27 will probably need another year.

Mission Control in MacOS 27 is so broken that I can't comprehend that @Apple shipped this. Now I have to clean install my Mac and downgrade just because Apple failed again. If you come from Tahoe you may not notice how bad MacOS 27 is, the difference to Sequoia is striking though

MacOS 27 Golden Gate is unfinished, buggy crap. Downgrading to Sequoia again.

I changed one simple setting on my Mac and it's amazing: Go to Accessibility -> Pointer Control -> Trackpad Options and increase the scroll speed. For some reason, Apple chose a slow scrolling speed for MacOS 27, which makes the user experience feel less responsive.

The talk about “Will AI will wipe out humanity” is the most interesting discussion at the moment in my opinion. In fact, we do not understand what really happens inside an LLM, we understand recursive self-improvement even less. It’s far beyond the scope of our understanding.

It’s amazing how perfect the combination iPhone 15 Pro and iOS 18 is. Is it just me or is Apple developing backwards in some areas? The software is refined to perfection in iOS 18 and the Titanium 15 Pro feels more premium as well.
