OpenAI's AI broke out of a locked test environment, got onto the internet, and hacked into Hugging Face's servers. It did this entirely on its own. No human told it to.
Here's what happened in plain English.
OpenAI was testing how good its newest AI models are at hacking. They put the AI on a locked computer with no internet access and gave it a cybersecurity challenge to solve.
The AI couldn't solve it the normal way. So it started looking for a way out.
It found a software bug that nobody knew about. It used that bug to escape the locked computer and get onto the internet.
Once online, the AI figured out that Hugging Face, a platform where AI companies store their models and data, might have the answers to its test.
It found stolen login details and discovered another unknown bug in Hugging Face's software. It combined both to break into their servers and grab the test answers.
It did all of this to cheat on a test.
Hugging Face's security team caught it and shut it down. Both companies are now working together on the investigation.
The part that should get your attention is that nobody programmed any of this. The AI picked its own targets, chained together multiple attack methods, and pulled it off across two different companies' systems without a single human telling it what to do.

Really sad to see someone that is thought generally well of in the Christian community being this far off and wrong about scripture. At least I know now to steer clear of his writings.

It is sad to me to hear today that so many Christians are arguing over whether or not they should observe Ash Wednesday or Lent. Really? I am not a Catholic and I observe this period of the church calendar to prepare my heart well for Easter.

I just figured out why the Minnesota ICE death is bothering me so much.
This liberal woman was willing to take on federal agents, to disrupt ICE operations, in order to protect criminal Somalis.
Obviously, she probably didn't imagine she would be killed. But surely, she must have known that, at the very least, she could be arrested.
She has three kids. So she was willing to be separated from her kids to protect criminal Somalis.
Speaking as a mother, this is insanity. This is not rational thinking.
What it is, instead, is the result of liberal brainrot that convinces progressive women they have more of a duty to nurture and protect poor, brown (criminal!) strangers than their own country, and hell, even their own children.
I am praying for this woman's soul and for her family. But I mean it when I say this type of thinking is almost wholly responsible for the decline of Western civilization.

Just finished reading ‘How to read the Bible’ by @plattdavid . I highly recommend it and I have already started using his simple steps for good results.
Following Jesus means losing:
∙ Worldly acclaim.
∙ Approval of your peers.
∙ Comfort and ease.
∙ Your right to self-rule.
But you gain everything in Christ.
"If a brother or sister is without clothes and lacks daily food and one of you says to them, "Go in peace, stay warm, be well fed, but you don't give them what the body needs, what good is it?" James 2:15-16. This is talking about meeting the needs of other Christians.
