Anyone know where in Colley Gate Morgan Rogers’ family lived (which street, for example) when he was at Colley Lane Primary School?
Of course in real time some folks don’t understand that
@nas is our Miles Davis and like Basquiat there ain’t a non-valuable piece he’s ever done. His run of 3+3 albums with hitboy was unprecedented. As with 33 years of his work. Nas is Art and art ain’t hubcaps & fried wings. Yeah @nas is Miles to us

Party to celebrate Ian Hislop's 40 years as editor of Private Eye & 65 years at the magazine. Has anyone currently in public life held the same job for longer? The Eye is the greatest journalistic institution of my lifetime. Long may Ian and the Eye reign.

When job cuts come, people say 'in business, sometimes you have to make hard decisions.'
Arsenal don't have to cut 60 jobs. So they shouldn't.
Let's not make it a PR thing either, after Arteta's contract. It 'looks bad' because it is bad.

Harry Kane’s PE Teacher on the radio just now from Chingford Primary. Model student, polite, good GCSE’s, played for cricket team too, married his childhood sweetheart, four children, it goes on. You really don’t have to be an absolute bastard and shithouse to become the best

Since Helen died, I’ve written about her, and spoken about her, a lot. It helps me, and I’ve been told it’s helped lots of others. It’s raised tens of thousands of pounds for charities. I absolutely will not, ever, forsake my right to do that because of some tribalistic mcfc fans
I’m extremely sad for your loss Nick and for the other obvious consequences this has had for you.
The human cost of reporting on Man City’s cheating for 15 years. It’s on the Mail website today and will be in the MoS paper tomorrow (Sunday) but they backed my reporting 100%. That reporting continues on my Substack. Google it for details. dailymail.com/sport/football…

Great work from Kieran for a very worthy cause
It’s an ill wind that blows nobody any good. As promised I’ve given the appearance fees* (and a top up from my PoF account) for talking Manchester City x 114 to @samaritans.
Men in particular are hopeless at looking after what’s going on in their heads. In the words of The Rifles song “and I smile when you’re there and I cry when I’m all alone”. Samaritans are there for you in those moments.
*Most don’t pay anything BTW.

Original rocksteady version cut in 1967. Re-recorded with Steely & Clevie and became a worldwide smash in ’94. Still untouchable !

As to the argument football clubs never actually go bust
Doesn't matter. Real people lose jobs and mortgages, amid huge stress. Shouldn't happen in a game awash with money

A reminder that @ladywoodnorm has compiled a wonderful tribute to the Sports Argus.
Sales and reviews of his book have been excellent, so don’t miss out!
