“Raise hell. Praise Dale” is not an appropriate response when we ask you why you were speeding.

Super Sky Point to Mike Ditka. I moved to Chicago in 2003, over a decade after “Da Coach” prowled the sidelines at Soldier Field for the final time. Yet his presence has always felt current. He arrived in 1961, a crew cut chunk of granite who hauled in a dozen touchdowns as a Pro Bowl rookie tight end. A quarter of a century later, he was carried off the field in glory at Super Bowl XX. Four decades later, his shadow casts large as ever over the banks of Lake Michigan as the only Bears head coach to ever hoist that precious Lombardi.
He’s beloved in this town for many reasons. Because he always said what he meant and meant what he said - even if sometimes he shouldn’t have said it. Because he loved the common man. Because even when he was an asshole, he was OUR asshole. Walter Payton is the greatest Bear. Dick Butkus is the most violent. George Halas will always be Papa Bear. But no one, and I mean no one, better represents what it means to be a Chicago Bear, or a Chicago Bears fan, than Mike Fucking Ditka. St. Peter, grab a helmet, because today he’s young again. #RIP
Every sports team has the goal of winning a championship. But there are a few teams that have particularly high standards. Example: UNC, Kentucky, Duke in college basketball. Alabama, Michigan, Ohio State in college football. Celtics and Lakers in the NBA.
In MLB, that team used to be the Yankees but that ship has apparently sailed. They used to be the "evil empire" that struck fear in all the opposition. Now, they have zero titles and 1 World Series appearance in the past 17 years and over that span have made one change at manager and zero changes at general manager.
They have good teams every year, but they do not have great teams, and it seems that's just fine with them. It's gotten to the point that my hatred for them has switched to indifference, and that's a weird feeling.
It's been fun hearing @stevestone on the Peacock broadcast tonight. Lifelong Cubs fan here but it is giving me memories of the WGN days from the 90's.
Hate the Yankees but love to see that. Craig Counsell would have taken him out once he hit 75.

The call of the week comes from Zach, who phoned in from a porta potty at his girlfriend's mom's wedding. He put the dance floor on hold to vent about NC State Football.
We appreciate you, Zach.

Randy Johnson’s age 37 season in 2001 up against Jacob Misiorowski’s MLB career to date.
The Cubs hit more homers, draw more walks, and play better defense than any other team.
It won't matter because the bullpen is complete garbage.
I was not prepared to see the Cubs hall of famers wearing #23 buttons. Miss you Ryno. #Cubs #RynoStrong
