A lot of people unnecessary hate on PumpFun Me personally, I WANT PumpFun to succeed. It’s the platform that changed the entire landscape of crypto But Alon needs to address the vamp/PvP problem. You can’t build the future of memecoins whilst making investors feel unsafe User safety need to be priority 🚶🏾‍♂️🚶🏾‍♂️🚶🏾‍♂️🚶🏾‍♂️

We keep rewarding the exact behavior we complain about, then blame Pumpfun when we lose money

One of my bull cases for memecoins is actually that people are getting poorer in general, gaps are getting wider, and jumping from class to class is getting near impossible for most using conventional strategies. Similar to how there is an uptick in gambling and sports-betting when people are desperate, I believe memecoins can see that same dynamic play out. I think we can geuinely have an insane bull run on-chain given the current state of the world, but it begins with SHOWING people that coins can got to absurd valuations again. Give people hope, give them examples of mass wealth creation and they will show up, especially when there's very little hope elsewhere these days.

the opportunity isnt recreating what ai companies are already making cheaper its building markets around what abundance makes scarce - particularly where verification / incentives / economic coordination matter thats where i think crypto actually has an edge

i think a lot of people are overlooking the opportunity in crypto AI as ive argued before, scarcity is migrating upward through the ai stack the cheaper and more interchangeable intelligence becomes, the more value shifts toward the infrastructure that makes it useful, reliable and economically accountable the interesting part is that many of these emerging bottlenecks arent computational problems - theyre problems of incentives, coordination, verification and trust and these are areas where crypto has genuine structural advantages permissionless markets for allocating resources, economic incentives for producing useful information, collateral for enforcing accountability and verifiable records of performance the opportunity isnt putting AI onchain for the sake of it its using crypto to create markets around forms of value that were previously difficult to measure, price or exchange the irony is that the commoditisation of ai models could be one of the strongest tailwinds for the right crypto infrastructure intelligence becomes abundant, but the ability to establish what its worth, whether its reliable and who deserves to be paid for it becomes increasingly valuable

in the age of ai, being able to build anything doesn't mean you should build everything. i keep falling right into this trap over and over. and now i end up with a bunch of half-assed products and features in my local. ai should help you iterate fast. but sometimes it does the opposite and paralyzes you.

the real world cares where you went to school, what you do for a living and who you know crypto is one of the few places where you can throw on an NFT pfp and compete with people you’d never even get in the same room with some guy in new york and some kid halfway across the world in india can end up in the same group chat chasing the exact same opportunities nobody knows their resumes. nobody gives a fuck. the kid in india doesn’t need a wall street job, rich parents or the right connections to make a better call he just needs to be better at the game and that’s what makes this place so interesting what covers a few months of rent in new york could buy someone a home or put retirement within reach somewhere else same market. same opportunity. completely different stakes. and sometimes you get to play a small part in helping someone reach an economic weight class they never thought possible in the real world these two people probably never cross paths. here they might spend months sharing ideas, learning from each other and building something together without ever knowing what the other looks like there’s plenty wrong with crypto, but very few places where your background matters less than your ability to figure shit out the real world asks who you are before giving you a seat at the table crypto lets you sit down and prove you’re better pretty fucking cool when you think about it
