AI stocks have sold off over the past few days. The main drivers: hotter-than-expected US inflation (Sept CPI 3.7% YoY) raising the odds of further Fed hikes, plus growing worries about the cost of financing the massive AI infrastructure buildout. Heavily leveraged names like CoreWeave (roughly $50B in debt/obligations) have been hit especially hard, with bond yields spiking toward 15-16% and credit spreads flashing stress. Yet the demand picture looks different. Cloud GPU rental prices for high-end chips remain elevated and in several cases, are still trending higher - a real-time signal that compute demand is tight. Meanwhile, OpenAI and Anthropic continue scaling: Anthropic just reported $16.8B in Q3 revenue (+45% QoQ), +ve FCF and adjusted profitability, while OpenAI’s net annualised run rate sits around $50B with strong enterprise growth. This looks more like a rates-and-financing-driven valuation reset than a collapse in underlying AI demand. For investors who believe the secular compute story remains intact, these pullbacks can create selective opportunities - particularly in higher-quality names. alphatarget.com

$LITE $COHR $AAOI $SIVE $CRDO WOW. @JensenHuang just put the 2027 bottleneck inside the package. Land, power, shell were already known. Now he named substrates and silicon photonics. “Silicon photonics is supply constrained… it’s going to be hard to close that gap for a few years.” That’s multi-year sold-out status + pricing power for the optical layer. $LITE and $COHR sit right on the scarce laser / photonics constraint. $AAOI, $SIVE, $CRDO ride the same interconnect wall. When the CEO of the company that sets the pace says the light can’t keep up with the chips… VERY bullish! PS: Credits to my friend @carrioresearch for sharing.

ALL EYES ON WARSH September's hotter-than-expected inflation report has raised expectations of another Fed rate hike ahead of the October 27–28 meeting. Fed Chair Kevin Warsh speaks Thursday, October 15, at 11:30 PM ET at the IMF meetings in Bangkok. His remarks could reshape expectations before the Fed's blackout period. The bigger risk: Persistent inflation could force additional rate hikes in December and potentially into 2027.

Your regular reminder that watching every tick of the market probably isn’t helping your returns or your sanity. Days like today are part of the deal. Unless you’re overleveraged or your thesis has changed there’s probably nothing you need to do. Do you still believe this aI driven tech cycle will make the economy dramatically more productive and efficient? If so days like today shouldn’t change much.

I see so many people chasing wealth just so they can do absolutely nothing. I’ll never understand that mindset, and frankly, there’s nothing I despise more than blatant laziness. For me, the goal isn't to "escape" work or retire early to live a life of comfort. Work gives life purpose. I never want to stop creating value, building, and being useful to my family, my community, and my country. The only thing I’m trying to change is who I’m building for. I don’t want to work for someone else anymore; I want to work for myself. I want true autonomy so I can keep producing and contributing for as long as I am physically able. Financial freedom shouldn't be an excuse to stop doing things. It should be the ultimate fuel to build on your own terms.

France 10 year bond yield = 4.79% Greece 10 year bond yield = 4.43% Nobody who lived through the PIGS debt crisis in the early 2010s would have predicted Greece to be a better credit than France in 2026.

The best piece of investment advice I ever received was from a very successful hedge fund PM: “the desk is a dangerous place to view the world from” If all you are doing is staring at your excel models and charts to come to conclusions as an investor, you are doing it wrong Even more true today in the age of AI where any sort of information and quantitative alpha is increasingly being competed away The best source of differentiation today is on site diligence, speaking to customers and employees, and actually building relationships with management Treat the job more like a journalist than a numbers jockey, and you will have much higher levels of success in an investment analyst seat

AI stocks are like coiled springs. Frontier "pacing" is *not* a headwind for AI infrastructure companies. When the market realises this, expect a multi-month rally.
