#FM23beta Mentality has been reworked and I mean its very different from previous editions of Football Manager, moving forward I hope SI call it what it is - Risk. On very defensive mentalities even AFs get behind the ball. There are such distinct differences now.

Navigation improvements alone won’t be enough to convince me, data needs to be as close to real life as possible, the match day experience on 26 was poor and we didn’t have a scrubber for specific highlight movements. And let’s not talk about the infamous bug

My initial thoughts on FM27 are very guarded. The feature drop cannot be compared to FN26 that would be a mistake, it should be compared to FM24. 27 looks like it returned to 26 trying to maintain the core features that made FM24 goated

If VAR continues to play a role front and centre in club football, then perhaps fire all referees and use AI to arbitrarily decide on all fouls and offences. Let’s stop pretending that referees are empowered by VAR to make better on field decisions. Forest should hv had a pen.

Nottingham Forest #FM26 Demigods? And this is without me having any power to make signings. Cross completion rates of 44% and at least 2 CCCs per game with a new record of 7 in one match alone. Possible supertactic exploiting a gaping match engine flaw?

I wish the FM community would stop expecting modders to perform miracles with FM26. Let them do what they can now, instead of denouncing any changes they have made which does not meet with your expectations.

So I’ve tried the patch and I have to say I am very disappointed. While some improvements have been made to the game it falls short of my personal expectations. Here’s thread explaining why.

Then we have the inexplicable identical pass completion numbers = cross completion numbers! Apparently in all our games this is identical! First rule of analyzing datasets. One dataset wrong then all wrong.

Can the game be enjoyable? Yes it can, but you need to learn how to unsee the bad and just focus on the good, which is just the matchday experience. So while I can find some enjoyment in the game the experience always leaves me annoyed and that is a real pity.
