Help keep our prickly friends safe this autumn by checking your bonfire for hedgehogs! 🦔 🔥 wildlifetrusts.org/actions/h…
ALT Build your bonfire on the same day you plan to light it. Always place a bonfire on open ground. Use a pole or broom to check your bonfire before lighting it. Use a torch to look inside the bonfire and listen for a hissing sound, this could be a distressed hedgehog. Light your bonfire from one corner to give hedgehogs time to escape.
