After six wonderful years at UK Music, I'm joining Palantir UK as Senior Vice President.
Palantir is the most interesting company on the planet, doing work of real consequence: helping Britain and its allies defend themselves, helping police protect our citizens and helping NHS staff get patients treated and home sooner.
London is comfortably its largest centre outside the US, home to more than one in six employees, the highest proportion among the world's largest technology companies.
We have challenges. Some criticism is propaganda. Some raises legitimate questions about large technology companies and sovereign control. Both require answers.
Part of my role will be to correct false information while working with our engineers to ensure privacy, security and respect for sovereignty are at the heart of everything we do.

Karl Marx:
❝The English worker hates the Irish worker as a competitor who lowers his standard of life. He regards himself as a part of the ruling nation & becomes a tool of the English capitalists against Ireland, thus strengthening their domination over himself.
The English worker cherishes religious and social prejudices against the Irish worker. His attitude is the same as that of the poor whites to the blacks in the USA. This antagonism is artificially intensified by the press & all the means at the disposal of the ruling classes.
The Irishman does the same and sees in the English worker only the accomplice of the English rulers. This antagonism is the secret of the impotence of the working class. It is the secret by which the capitalist class maintains its power. The alternative is class solidarity.❞

86 years ago today, Woody Guthrie penned “This Land Is Your Land” in response to Irving Berlin’s “God Bless America.”
It was among the first songs to be chosen by the Library of Congress for inclusion in the National Recording Registry.
Woody Guthrie had written “This machine k!lls fascists” on his guitar.

These are the eight prisoners taking part in what is thought to be the biggest hunger strike in UK history since Irish republicans began refusing food in 1981.
Tonight it has emerged that five of them have been taken to hospital.
Two haven't eaten for nearly 39 days.
