Also, if the season deteriorates further from disappointing to downright embarrassing, you are going to be encountering A LOT more bitching online and on the radio about "Commanders" than you did in 2024. The wound will rip open.
With every coming loss my interests will slide away from scheme and strategy, and more toward big-picture. Declining vets become irrelevant. Which coaches gotta go? How do you reboot the rebuild? From the moment a current season becomes futile, the future is all that matters.
We all know where the season is headed. Maybe they'll mess around and flirt with contention but they're not contenders. Defense will never put two good halves together against a decent opponent. More demoralizing losses coming. It does affect my interests, and interest level.
First half was weird and Skins were playing hard has hell so we had a game. Second half, everyone found their level.
I like going for it. And I don't even mind taking a shot there. Catch 'em off guard and it's a decent opp for your QB2 to get 6 against a better team. But they just didn't execute.

just to make this clear:
the spot of the ball is made by the refs using their eyes and no technology
the "virtual measurement" just prevents a chain gang from running onto the field
the refs can still give BS spots and there is nothing the "virtual measurement" does to fix
Josh Harris is a big spear guy. "Commander is a leader of warriors... Roman... Native American tribes... Special Forces... And they all have these swords, or spears. Tip of the spear, right? Spears." (h/t @HogfarmerChris) xitter.cf/i/status/1981810228933…

They're leaning hard into the spear. My buddy Colin thinks the monosyllabic nickname should be the Spears. Kinda like the Birds or the Bolts. And Spears resembles Skins. Colin's pretty smart. I'm thinking it over.
