Even before last night's final of The Traitors this pre Six Nations The Sporting Club rugby lunch was selling so fast that we expected it to be completely sold out by the end of the month. We obviously thought a Props Lunch with Dan Cole and @JoeMarler would be popular, but we didn't know Joe would then recreate himself as a TV star. The result? Members are clamouring to snap up places and tables before it's too late. It promises to be one hell of a way to get 2026 going. So this is how Thursday night's hugely successful Evening with @GaryLineker panned out at the Landmark Hotel, brought to you by The Sporting Club and @CureLeukaemia. The packed Grand Ballroom enjoyed drinks, a three course dinner, cameo interviews with the likes of Alan Smith, Paul Parker, Tony Woodcock, George Lineker and, of course, the main event - a big chat with Gary himself. Plus there was the little matter of raising awareness and funds in the continual battle against blood cancers. Professor Rob Wynn, Professor Charlie Craddock CBE and Geoff Thomas MBE all spoke eloquently about this as well before auctioneer Richard Madley did his stuff on stage to. We'll be announcing a final amount raised in the next few days. There are lots of thanks to be made, starting with all the staff at The Landmark London and Fergus Stewart; to Zinzan Brooke, Jonathan Joseph, Marlon Harewood, Mark Bright; to Melissa Nathoo for taking on the cameo interviews with such aplomb at short notice; to Emma Brassington and Tina Thomas for all their hard work at The Sporting Club, to the team at Cure Leukaemia headed up by Jennie Hill and to Lois Spencer-Tracey for producing this content.
