Ketamine reacting to the two-part Morris reagent. 🧪
Ketamine is a dissociative anesthetic, and Morris is one of the key reagents for confirming it.
With ketamine, Morris produces a distinct blue to purple reaction that helps positively identify your sample.

Stronger ketamine dissociation did not mean stronger pain relief in a small placebo-controlled study.
33 out of 37 volunteers completed the full procedure involving ketamine and placebo sessions, controlled heat pain, and brain imaging.
Ketamine reduced pain and increased dissociation, but the intensity of those effects was not significantly associated.
Pain relief and dissociation corresponded to different brain-activity patterns, supporting the possibility of partly distinct mechanisms.
1P-LSD is a synthetic psychedelic closely related to LSD, but with an additional propionyl group attached to its molecular structure.
Research shows that the body rapidly converts 1P-LSD into LSD, making it what scientists call a "prodrug."
In other words, two chemically distinct substances can ultimately produce effects through the same active compound.
A small fish study suggests psilocybin may affect aggression in certain fish species.
Psilocybin reduced aggressive swimming bursts in mangrove rivulus fish after a 20-minute exposure.
Overall movement also decreased, while several lower-energy social behaviors showed no treatment-specific change.
Have you tried SprayPack? 🤔💦
Meet a new approach to nasal administration with our DIY nasal spray kit, designed to give you more control over your experience.
✅ Customize your dose per spray
✅ Offer a healthier alternative to direct powder insufflation
✅ Make administration more discreet and convenient
Simply combine your powder with the included sterile saline solution according to the dosing card, shake, and spray.
⚠️ Always verify your substance before use. Accurate dosing depends on knowing what you’re working with, and nasal sprays are not risk-free.

One supported psilocybin session reduced depression faster than an active placebo in a 35-person trial.
Some benefits persisted for months, but by one year the groups no longer differed.
Failed blinding and prolonged anxiety in two participants complicate the promising results.
The study supports a rapid antidepressant effect, but not a reliable one-session, yearlong solution.
Ohio cannabis stores are adjusting to new package and potency limits that took effect on October 5th.
Adult-use edibles are now capped at 10mg THC per serving and 100mg per package.
Medical edibles can have up to 55mg per serving, with no more than 10 servings.
At least 55 deaths in the U.S. have been linked to cychlorphine, a powerful synthetic opioid that may be up to 10 times stronger than fentanyl.
The drug has been reported in every region of the country, with the most detections in Ohio, Texas and Tennessee.
Tennessee reported at least 41 deaths linked to cychlorphine between July 2025 and February 2026.
Cychlorphine may be found on its own or mixed with other drugs, including fentanyl, methamphetamine and cocaine. It can also be present in counterfeit pills.
Cychlorphine cannot be detected by drug test strips or at-home testing options. Laboratory testing is currently needed to identify it.

If an opioid overdose is suspected, administer naloxone and call emergency services. Multiple doses may be needed.

Could psychedelic compounds change how the brain responds to fentanyl-related cues?
Researchers tested three compounds in mice trained to associate a place with fentanyl.
One reduced that preference only in female mice, another reduced it in both sexes, and the third did nothing.
The results point to sex-specific differences worth studying, but they are not evidence that psychedelics treat opioid use disorder in people.
Arkansas dispensaries can’t buy billboards in their own state, while cannabis companies from Missouri and Oklahoma can advertise along Arkansas roads.
Arkansas dispensaries may have up to three signs attached to their buildings, each no larger than 36 square feet, but cannot buy billboard space.
Missouri’s recreational market and advertising have helped attract Arkansas customers, while Arkansas patients face a doctor visit, fees, and an annual medical-card renewal.
A $2-million philanthropic investment will expand psychedelic medicine research at a St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton hospital, including work on psilocybin for chronic pain and cannabis use disorder.
The funding supports hospital-based research that can test psychedelic treatments under clinical oversight, including who may benefit and what risks need monitoring.
Ohio officials are warning people about cychlorphine, a synthetic opioid that is undetectable by the current test strips on the market.
A past federal alert counted reports in 10 states, including Ohio, but Montgomery County officials said they hadn’t found it locally.
If an overdose happens, call 911 and be prepared, knowing that more than one naloxone dose may be needed.
California made drink-spiking prevention requirements permanent for bars and nightclubs with Type 48 licenses.
They must offer drink lids on request and make test devices available free or at a reasonable cost; a device needs to detect at least one commonly used drug.
These tools can help, but no single test guarantees a drink is safe.
OSHA has issued a workplace fact sheet on recognizing opioid overdoses and responding with reversal medications such as naloxone.
It encourages preparation, accessible supplies, and training, while stressing that medication effects are temporary and that 911 should be called.
The guidance gives workplaces practical steps for responding to an overdose and frames naloxone access as part of emergency preparedness.
It acts as advisory information, not a new federal mandate.
The DEA has updated its emerging-drug page.
It describes fentanyl being mixed with substances including xylazine, nitazenes, cychlorphine and medetomidine.
Some may evade detection or complicate overdose response.
Naloxone does not reverse non-opioids, and some synthetic opioids may require repeated doses.
Virginia Tech researchers are developing a wearable patch designed to detect fentanyl and automatically release naloxone, potentially helping someone who overdoses while alone.
The patch is smaller than a penny and contains more than 120 microscopic needles that penetrate beneath the skin.
It is designed to deliver more than one naloxone dose, addressing the risk that naloxone may wear off while fentanyl remains active.
The device has been tested in the lab and in mice but it has yet to be tested on people or in real-world conditions.
Where opioid exposure is possible: keep naloxone available, avoid using alone, and call emergency services if someone can't be awakened or is breathing slowly or abnormally.

Cychlorphine is one example of what fentanyl test strips can miss: they don’t detect every synthetic opioid.
Our latest blog breaks down what strips can and can’t tell you, and why a negative result doesn’t mean a sample is safe.

North Dakota recorded 606 unintentional overdose deaths from 2021 through 2025; fentanyl was present in 67% of toxicology results.
State data showed fentanyl-related overdose deaths fell 16% from 2023 to 2025. The 2025 total of 110 deaths is preliminary and may change.
Xylazine-involved deaths rose from six in 2021 to 10 in 2025; officials identified 27 xylazine-involved deaths over the five-year period.
The state also identified 19 deaths where kratom or its compounds were reported.
