104 years. A club built on miners, graft and heart undone by those trusted to lead it. This is a wound to the town, the community, and to a sport that once proudly belonged to places like ours. Rugby league cannot claim to honour its roots while turning its back on them.

The contempt that certain Australians have for British RL and the arrogance that goes with it ⬇️ Grim.
I think it’s a test. No-one from Australia wants to go to Leigh or Wigan or Bradford. They can’t even find them on a map. If you want our investment, give us the only city we know. Or goodbye.

Featherstone Rovers going 6️⃣9️⃣4️⃣ days unbeaten in the league (7th September 2019 to 1st August 2021). Also Luke Briscoe scoring tries in 1️⃣7️⃣ consecutive games (2018).
Name one sports record you don’t think will ever be broken. I’ll start: Wilt Chamberlain’s 100-point game.

Inflating attendance figures for IMG versus deflating attendances figures for HMRC: the Sophie's choice of rugby league clubs

Joke of a 'sport'. Made up numbers, concocted behind closed doors by those with vested interests. Sport should be decided on the pitch, and on the pitch only.
The RFL can today confirm the IMG Grading of the 26 clubs across Super League and the Championship following the 2026 season.

A reminder that rugby league in England is currently not a sport. If it was a sport, London Broncos would've gained automatic promotion to Super League on Sunday.
Rugby league clubs get told their IMG scores today, with ranking announcement expected tomorrow. Rumour is that neither London or Widnes are 15th.

Is Karl Pratt's disallowed try against Wakefield in the 1998 First Division Grand Final the biggest sliding doors moment in rugby league?

I still look back on our run to the MPG under Ryan Carr in 2019 as a high water mark in our recent history. Goosebumps just watching back our victory away at York. What a time to be alive.

Long shot for Wakefield Trinity / Belle Vue history fans. Early 90s-ish I saw a football match at Belle Vue with my uncle. A Korean team played & I remember a player handing out pin badges with a national flag to kids in the crowd. Does anyone remember this match or touring side?

I'm told that proceeds from sales at the Fev club shop go to 'Rovers Events', a seperate entity to the club, which is of course in the hands of the administrators. A cursory search of Companies House will inform you of the interested parties thereof.
Fev club shop doing a roaring trade this week, but to whom do the proceeds go? 🤔

I am very disappointed by the news that Featherstone Rovers have been thrown out of the Championship. I am supporting the club and hope there is a solution to the current problems. I will post more updates as we get them.

Hopping back on here to say: I love sport. Which is why I've lost interest in RL since IMG came in I didn't attend a single match this year nor pay to watch it on TV I've no appetite for a season of effective friendlies I'll be back when things are decided on the pitch

Pleased to see the RFL with a strong statement, but I wonder how many of these cowards were emboldened when the RFL allowed Bradford to go unpunished after homophobic abuse of a ref by their fans.
The Rugby Football League stands behind Marcus Griffiths, one of the full-time panel of elite match officials, as he highlights the disgraceful, homophobic abuse he has received on social media.
