Woke up this morning and walked right into 51 degrees like it was a long lost comrade from the war. Never a better reunion after what we experienced 3 weeks ago in Williams-Brice Stadium. It was a low grade oven. Got a good feeling about today. We are too talented to continue playing scared, and we played terrible last week, per sources. Terrible to the tune of 21 first downs, 3/3 on 4th down, 431 yards offense, and a balanced attack. It’s the 6 of 18 on 3rd down that changes today. If we play better against the Tide, as in those numbers only improve, I see us winning this one. Call it #SouthCarolina 31 and #Alabama 28

Here it is, the whole thing, 33 years later. First saw it in the theater with my eighth-grade Pop Warner team. When the street scene was still in it. All the lines from it lived on, and hold up. Best sports movie ever.

NFL fined 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk $14,926 for engaging in an offensive demonstration Sunday vs. Miami. “Your imitation of chugging a beer constituted an offensive demonstration and could reasonably be construed as being in poor taste,” the NFL wrote in its fine letter. Juszczyk, nicknamed “Juice”, already has appealed the fine.
