Hasan Piker’s dangerous and hateful language targeting Jewish Americans has no place in our civic discourse. Suggesting that Jewish Americans bear responsibility for hatred or violence directed against them is wrong, dangerous, and antisemitic.
We can, and should, argue fiercely over policy. We should have meaningful dialogue and debate about the policies and actions of the Israeli government and American foreign policy. That is the lifeblood of democracy. But that’s not what this is.
No American should be told that their political beliefs make them responsible for hatred or violence directed against them. There is a bright line between vigorous debate and rhetoric that stokes hatred toward our neighbors. Mr. Piker has crossed that line, repeatedly and unmistakably.
Populist left? Who even is that? DSA is the only worker first takeover of the DNC.
I have a lot of disagreements @hasanthehun and I come from a different part of the party - populist left, as opposed to DSA. But every so-called Democrat who is attacking our candidates based on their connection to Hasan are trying to hurt those candidates on behalf of Israel.
With the final good rich person and the last bastion of Tennessee’s positivity gone, we may begin the Socialist Revolution.
I dont wish gender dysphoria on anyone but it would be so funny if one of them transitioned in a couple years and jk rowling’s name was attached to Harriet Potter on something like that
Fighting the left because she cares more about her personal project than winning for the working class. I have plenty criticisms for aoc and mamdani but we need to seriously think about which lefty movements have momentum and which ones never have…
