On Thursday, the @UQLaw school had a riveting Q&A session with Queensland's first #indigenous judge: Judge Nathan Jarro. His Honour shared about how he was in high school when the #Mabo decision was made, and how it inspired him to become a legal practitioner. #NRW2022 #MaboDay

On Tuesday, my #architecture students had their final presentations & a number of them oriented their designs to serve the Quandamooka peoples: the three tribes of the Ngugi, Gorenpul and Nunukul tribes. See more of their designs here: linkedin.com/pulse/brave-mak… #nrw2022 #MaboDay

On Monday, I attended the Brisbane Aboriginal Cultural Tour organised by @UQLaw & Business schools. It was moving in many ways, and the pieces came alive because of the stories told by our tour guide, Cassy Saunders (here with me in the photo). #nrw2022 #MaboDay #auspol #auslaw

Really enjoyed sitting around the table with such a wonderfully diverse group of parents from @the_parenthood - sharing about the challenges we faced accessing #parentalleave, affordable childcare & asking for further economic & social reform. #auspol #auslaw #ausvotes2022

My thanks also to Dony and Sakina from @UQLaw for helping to pull together all the events of the day. You both are rock stars! 15/

Thanks so much to our Gold sponsors @AllensLegal and @OrgAALA, and our Silver sponsor UQ Ally Network for sponsoring the events & letting us include so many @UQLaw students. We really appreciate you. 14/

Then he was off to deliver @UQ_News public lecture on UNESCO, the Right to Self-Determination of Peoples and the Ukraine War. It is nuanced and showed such mastery over his craft of bring the #law to life. #auslaw #internationallaw @uqlaw 13/
