🧵 Participation trophies are one of the worst ideas of modern parenting. My son’s soccer team finished 7th out of 8. And every single kid got a medal! I grew up in Yugoslavia. I know what "everyone's equal" looks like when taken to its extreme. Here's what participation trophies are really teaching our kids: 👇

Yearly goal setting isn't optional. It's what separates (parents) who build intentionally from those who drift. I've done this for years. It works! So here's my gift to you: 👉 A "Ruthless Truth Teller" prompt that analyzes your year and maps your next one! No fluff. Just clarity. Happy New Year! 🔽

20 hours of driving to sit in my childhood bedroom browsing old books. Worth it! I'm thinking... Home isn't where you grew up. Home is where you're building memories your kids will drive 20 hours to revisit. Happy holidays to you all!

You charge your phone every night without fail. But you let yourself run on 3%. Your kids need the full-battery version of you. Your business needs the full-battery version of you. 👉 Let's stop running on empty while keeping everything else charged. It's the weekend. Be the parent entrepreneur who powers up.

1% of parents understand: Your kids aren't listening to your speeches about persistence. They're watching your 5 pm exhaustion. When you quit because you're tired, you're teaching them that pursuing dreams is only valid during certain times or conditions. Your follow-through becomes their foundation. Be the example you needed as a kid.

Turned off my phone to spend time with my sons. Work messages can wait. Family time matters more. Even on Monday.

An insight that changed how I parent 3 kids: Their 100th "why?" today isn't annoying. It's they who choose you as their teacher. Great parents center their kids' development, not their own comfort. Just like great businesses obsess over customer needs, not company convenience. Choose connection over control. Be the 1%.

What 1% of parent entrepreneurs understand: 👉 Your child isn't a side project, they're your most important startup. Your attention isn't divided. It's your highest ROI investment. Every bedtime story compounds. Every "watch this" matters. Every presence builds a legacy. Your biggest exit won't be your company. It'll be launching humans who change the world.

Recently celebrated my birthday like I was 5. The older I get, the MORE I celebrate everything. Society says: "Act your age." I say celebrate every damn victory. Your birthday? Celebrate. Small wins? Celebrate. Random Tuesday? Celebrate. Joy compounds too.

In 10 years, you'll pay $10,000 to live today again. You just don't know it yet. The messy kitchen. The interrupted work calls. The millionth "why?" question. The toys everywhere. One day, you'll pay anything to have this chaos back. Presence over perfection. That's the secret.

What my kids taught me about building a business: → Wake at dawn, like they do. → Create something new daily, like they do. → Learn with endless curiosity, like they do. → Never apologize for your energy, like they do. They don't overthink. They just DO. This childlike approach helped me stand out while raising 3 kids and running my business. 👉 Kids are the ultimate productivity coaches, we just forgot how to listen.

🧵You know what separates a man from a boy? The willingness to carry a burden. Most parents think they're sacrificing their freedom. They're wrong. Here's what actually happens when you embrace the chaos: 👇

5️⃣ The irony is magnificent: By sacrificing your liberty, becoming the equipment carrier, the practice taxi driver, the audience of one for bedroom dance recitals, you gain something infinitely more valuable. Purpose. Meaning. Legacy. The trifecta of the good life.

6️⃣ I've built software systems used by thousands. Nothing compares to watching my son master that soccer trick after months of practice. A man is defined by the burdens he willingly carries. Not by how successfully he avoids them. This isn't punishment. This IS the whole damn point.

How to get ahead of 99% of parents building something? Ditch these: → Waiting for the "kids to grow up" → Building only when kids are asleep → Hiding your work from your children → Needing every answer before starting Your kids create fearlessly every day. Be the 1% who do the same.
