I thought the National Medal of Science was for scientists 🤔
Funny how time changes.
The fact that last 5 years and next 5 years would see a technology gap of a century is wild!

Right. Dario was already claiming that GPT2 was too dangerous to open source back in 2019.
I made fun of them then.
Everyone should make fun of them now.
This would be a game changer if the the rumors are true.
RSI has been a major milestone in the AI arena.
I'm assuming @GeminiApp pro is being delayed for this reason ..
Google Might Have Achieved RSI
- Around August, Google co-founder Sergey Brin was pushing resource allocation toward Recursive Self-Improvement (RSI) in Google/s AI efforts.
- Google DeepMind is now near RSI, and they could announce it anytime.
- For those who don't know, RSI basically means AI improving itself recursively, making each generation better at improving the next.
- If they actually achieved this, this is SO HUGE. Finally, a major Google comeback could be coming.
- And I believe the upcoming Gemini Pro model could come this month (September).
OpenAI is not looking to stop.
Heard some rumours about the training of a model speculated to be greater than astra aswell....
Is this singularity?
We’re sharing a solution to the Navier-Stokes Millennium Prize Problem, one of the deepest problems at the frontier of mathematics.
The proof was produced by a group of agents, using an OpenAI next-generation model significantly more capable than GPT-6 Astra.
The problem concerns whether the description of smooth three-dimensional fluid motion modeled by the Navier-Stokes equations can break down. It has remained unresolved for roughly 90 years.

After reading SpaceX’s S-1, one uncomfortable parallel keeps coming to mind: WeWork.
Both companies mastered the art of selling a grand vision through powerful imagery and narrative.

4) Sky high valuations driven by hype. SpaceX is currently trading between 1.75 trillion and 2.45 trillion dollars while still deeply unprofitable.
I remain a long term believer in SpaceX’s mission. But the S-1 shows how much of today’s valuation is built on beautiful imagery and future optionality rather than current financial reality.
History has taught us that narrative plus stunning visuals can drive massive valuations until they don’t.
What do you think? Is SpaceX truly different, or are we seeing similar patterns play out again?
Would love your take.
