Packed house for our launch hackathon last night!
The walls between engineering disciplines are coming down. And when they do, millions more people will be able to turn ideas into physical products. We took a big step toward that future today 🚀

A bare board is hard to sell and hard to demo. The last step is mechanical, and that usually means CAD. Now Flux designs the enclosure too.

Describe it in chat and it's built from your actual board: outline, connectors, component heights. Preview it in 3D, print it, put it in front of someone. PCB and enclosure, same tool.

> Imagine what happens when millions more people can build robots, medical devices, instruments, vehicles, satellites, toys, tools and things none of us have thought of yet. More builders is more better!

People ask if we just do enclosures for PCBs...absolutely not! You can designing anything in Flux now!

Last night we hosted an enclosure design workshop at the Flux office, on the same day we launched the feature. 🚀 Electrical engineers who've designed boards for years sat next to founders who are mid-prototype on their next product. Thank you to everyone who came out. More workshops are coming, so if you're building hardware in SF, come build with us.

Flux can now design the enclosure around your board. 📦 Creating the enclosure used to mean a second tool, a second discipline and a lot of measuring by hand.

Now it lives in the same project as your PCB, without learning CAD. From idea to prototype, in one tool.

For us, a circuit board was never the finish line.  Starting today, Flux can generate an enclosure for your PCB.  Flux is bringing ideas out of people’s heads and into their hands. It’s time to enter your hardware era. flux.ai/p/blog/hardware-encl…

Most PCBs are rectangles but this one goes inside a headphone cup, so it had to be round. Episode 1 of Aaron building a hardware music product.

Replying to @70ccc07
I believe Flux AI is also doing AI-Native PCB design, but they’re primarily focused on ECAD/PCB design. We’re trying to go broader with HeyPCB by connecting both ECAD and MCAD, so you can iterate on the full hardware product in one place.

The hardest part of hiring for Flux is explaining the job. You're not building a CAD tool. You're not building a chatbot. You're building the future of hardware design. Roles are in the comments.

26 × 13 mm, four layers. Power on the back, brains on the front. That split is what lets a board this small carry 40 A without the switching noise reaching the logic.
