I agree completely! However the x-axis of that table is bad so I created a cleaner one. I also think the revenue ramp from beta launch (25 sats) will be much faster since $ASTS has no customer acquisition friction.

Thanks to all our American friends acknowledging how petty and unproductive this is. Win-win or no deal.

Unless it’s a long running one. I don’t really see why it’s any surprise…

Exactly why Hamilton would be a great candidate for a mega data-centre.

this is awesome. Canada is at about 80% green energy (~60% hydro, ~15% nuclear, ~5 other renewables). We can both increase our total ouput and increase the percentage of non greenhouse gass emmiting power with engineering projects like this.

City of Hamilton viewed from the skyway reimagined as a data centre and Olympic world class sporting resort. Run on clean power from the Niagara Falls and windmills. Infrastructure already servicing the property.

Many Canadians carry a deep stigma against building. To be fair, we’ve built some genuinely hideous infrastructure and failed more than a few urban experiments. But as an engineer, I believe the winning vision for Canada is Regenerative Futurism. Stop building sterile, fenced-off stormwater ponds. Design living water systems instead, new rivers with waterfalls and trails, ponds you can fish in summer and skate on in winter. Public space farming. Next-generation greenhouses. Timber bridges and retaining walls. Rock, berms and natural grading. Everything that makes Canada great can be designed into our cities. We’re just too afraid of change and “risk” to make it happen. So we hide behind “environmental” no build policy. The greater risk is refusing to evolve, and slowly losing the identity we’re trying to protect. I’ll be sharing more examples of Regenerative Futurism and what this future can look like across Canada. Follow if you want to promote a better vision for our future.

Parking lots are giant eyesores in our cities. Once we have self driving taxi’s our dependancy on parking will be gone and our generation will get to reimagine these empty parking lots into beautiful places which heal our cities. It’s time to start imagining a better world. Take a picture of a local parking lot you hate and feed it to grok imagine to build your ideal space. Share your before and after.

@Tesla @elonmusk you are missing a big opportunity with this. Sustainable abundance needs to be green not grey. Robotics will bring back micro-farming, pristine landscaping, and harmony with nature. Your post is a vision of what everyone fears about the future of robotics.

Every household in Canada should have a greenhouse and micro-farm. Where’s the incentives for this food security?
