NEWS 📣📣📣 We are delighted and so deeply honoured that The Bugatti Trust Museum and Study Centre has been shortlisted for ‘Museum or Collection of the Year’ at the prestigious International Historic Motoring Awards 2026, presented by Lockton, in partnership with Magneto magazine. To be named in the category for museum and collection alongside such respected institutions is a real privilege and our sincere thanks go to the judges and organisers, and to everyone who supports us. For a small charity, this recognition means a great deal. It belongs to everyone who makes the Trust what it is and that includes our staff and board, our volunteers, our members, our industry and media supporters, our visitors, our educational partners and of course all the learners of all ages, whose curiosity reminds us why this work matters. And let’s not forget the wonderful motoring heritage community that is truly a special village and we are so grateful to be part of it. Alongside our ongoing archive and STEM work and our current Type 30 exhibition, a true highlight of our year was ‘Verre et Vitesse’, the Lalique exhibition with guest curator John Nemeth. It was the first time ever that every pre-war original Lalique car mascot had been shown to the public in one place. The exhibition brought new visitors and new learning resources, and it celebrated the same blend of artistry, skill, manufacturing and engineering that defines the Bugatti approach to making things. Winners will be announced on 13 November at The Peninsula London and we would like to wish all the nominees the best of luck ! What a night this promises to be. @MagnetoMagazine @octane_magazine @Lockton #HistoricMotoringAwards #IHMA2026 #BugattiTrust #Bugatti #museumoftheyear

A special visitor at The Bugatti Trust today: Joe Saward, author of The Grand Prix Saboteurs. His book tells the true story of three Bugatti racing drivers who became British-trained secret agents in WW2: •    William Grover-Williams, who raced as “W. Williams” and won the first Monaco Grand Prix in 1929 in a Bugatti Type 35B •    Robert Benoist, Le Mans winner and Bugatti works driver •    Jean-Pierre Wimille, Grand Prix star who ran the Paris Bugatti showroom with Benoist Working with the Special Operations Executive (SOE) and the French Resistance, their network sabotaged power supplies near Nantes. On the eve of D-Day they also cut telephone lines and put railway lines out of action. In 1940, Benoist escaped a German patrol by flooring the throttle of his Bugatti Type 57 Atalante. Sadly, Grover-Williams and Benoist were both captured and killed. Only Wimille survived the war. Joe spent 18 years researching the book. Much of the story stayed top secret until the British Government released the files in 2003. Thank you for visiting, Joe, and for keeping their remarkable story alive. #BugattiTrust #Bugatti #GrandPrixSaboteurs #MotorRacingHistory #SOE #WW2History #MonacoGrandPrix #Heritage

The Bugatti Trust Welcomes Caroline Bugatti, Viola Procovio and Clive Godsell as New Trustees New appointments bring heritage, creative perspective and strategic experience to support the Trust’s future   Prescott, Gloucestershire, June 19th , 2026. The Bugatti Trust is delighted to announce the appointment of three new Trustees: Caroline Bugatti, Viola Procovio and Clive Godsell. These appointments mark an important step in the continued development of the Trust and reflect its commitment to preserving the Bugatti family legacy while strengthening its public, archival, educational and cultural mission for the years ahead. Caroline Bugatti joins the Board with a uniquely personal connection to one of the great names in engineering and design history. Granddaughter of Ettore Bugatti she has extensive experience in motorsport operations, including service as operations director at the Anneau du Rhin circuit in Alsace. ‘Cars are part of my daily life, in my work at the racetrack, and in my blood. I have the privilege and, above all, the pleasure of driving a piece of history in my hands, and what could be more rewarding than seeing the smiles of the people you meet or take for rides ? It is important to share this heritage, which I gladly do, as do the Trust and other enthusiasts around the world. I have a very fond memory of a visit to the Trust with our two daughters. That day, a group of children were gathered for a tour at the end of which they were given paper and pencils to draw their own Bugatti. It is they who will continue this history tomorrow.’ Viola Procovio brings an international outlook and a valuable creative dimension to the Board. Her love of Bugatti is a family inheritance. The passion was passed down by her father, founder of the Italian Bugatti Club, and as a second-generation Bugatti owner she has grown up immersed in the marque's history and community. As a Trustee, she brings her international connections within the Bugatti world and her years of experience fundraising for local charities. She sees her role as helping the Trust grow as a living repository of Bugatti knowledge — encouraging owners everywhere to share the histories, documents and details of their cars so that this collective record of the cars made at Molsheim is safeguarded for future generations. Clive Godsell’s interest in Bugatti has been longstanding and was shaped from an early age by his grandfather, who encouraged a hands-on approach and curiosity for engineering and design. Studying electronics and computing at university gave him a strong technical foundation and a deeper understanding of engineering principles. Combined with his experience in commerce and a substantialinterest in history - both in the people behind it and the technical developments that shaped it - he enjoys using his skills and knowledge to help educate others and share these interests more widely. Allan Rippon, Chairman of The Bugatti Trust, said: “The appointments of Caroline Bugatti, Viola Procovio and Clive Godsell are vital to The Bugatti Trust and its future direction. No organisation can stand still or rely on the same trusted individuals for ever and these appointments will bring a fresh eye and additional expertise to the oversight of the affairs of the Trust. I am grateful to each of them for agreeing to serve as Trustees. Each is deeply rooted in the Bugatti community and I am sure that they will, in their turn, help develop The Trust to meet the significant opportunities and challenges in the decades to come.”

A huge thank you to everyone who visited The Bugatti Trust on Saturday for our Verre et Vitesse – Glass and Speed Lalique exhibition. It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces alongside new visitors discovering the remarkable connection between two of history’s most iconic names for the very first time. Thank you to the Bugatti owners who made our lawn look so splendid 😍 This exhibition would simply not exist without Lalique collection curator John Nemeth, whose depth of knowledge and commitment to sharing it has been extraordinary throughout. Immense thanks go to Dominic Taylor Lane, Association of Heritage Engineers, who had the foresight and vision to introduce John to us — and in doing so, brought together the worlds of historic Bugatti and Lalique in a way that continues to captivate everyone who walks through our doors. We are very grateful! The exhibition runs until the end of May. We are open Monday to Friday during regular opening hours, and we are delighted to announce two special weekend openings: Saturday 23 May and Sunday 24 May, 10am–4pm.
