An update on this report. I’m hearing it will be Ryan McLeod. Expect Hellebuyck and Nino Niederreiter(50%ret.) to be Buffalo Sabres within the next couple of days, as UPL deal is close to being complete. Jiri Kulich, Ryan McLeod, Radim Mrtka, and a 2nd rd pick to WPG

🚨 @DarrenDreger: “I do NOT believe Connor Hellebuyck will report to opening of Winnipeg Jets training camp this week” Trade interest has been minimal, very little activity with Buffalo since draft. Nothing out there that would qualify as fair value. 🔗 tsn.ca/nhl/video/2026/09/15/…

According to sources the Buffalo Sabres have reached out to NHL offices inquiring about wearing their “Goat Head” uniforms tonight in an effort to shake up their mojo at home. Per NHL rules the team would receive a fine. 🚬 #LetsGoBuffalo

Interesting thing to keep in mind before the Olympic break Konsta Helenius has played 6 NHL games The Sabres have 4 games left before the Olympic break If he plays in all 4 of those games, the first year of his ELC will be burnt
