Retcon is changing prior info and this just adds info that doesn’t contradict anything prior. If this is a retcon literally any reveal of info is a retcon.
Some people acting like Luffy taking 300+ chapters to get a powerup says something about One Pieces pacing compared to Naruto/Bleach.
Luffy progressed his crew by recruiting members in prior arcs. Luffy also did get stronger... not everything needs to be about a transformation.

Avatar fandom is just the Naruto fandom all over again the homophobic gimmick is overplayed. Literally stories are much better when more people could be happy/relate while watching them instead of constantly feeling excluded.
