When Albo et al talk about the ‘temperature’ of discourse in Australia, remember they sat idly by and allowed venomous, anti-Semitic bile to be spewed in our major cities every weekend for almost a year, culminating in the mass murder of 15 people last December.
I have two tickets to Paris, anyone interested........
Yeah, thought so 🥴

After the Bondi killings Albo went on the floor, on his hands and knees, in a pair of socks, no shoes, in a recruitment centre for the next generation of young jihadis. All for votes. What a pathetic excuse of a human being.
Resign, resign, resign

Charging the taxpayers for flying to your mates birthday party is fraud
Lying about the nature of that trip just compounds the crime.
Anika must resign from parliament. Unfit for office.

Wow, wow, wow. I just left the National Press Club where Minister of Communications @AnikaWells spoke. She repeatedly and brazenly lied about the fake accounts, claiming they were only for enforcement, even though the legislation says in black and white that the eSafety Commissioner can use them in unlimited ways for "educational" and "promotional" purposes.
One big moment came when a Politico reporter got up and said something about how mean people like @PaulineHansonOz were to eSafety Commissioner Julie Inman-Grant. Seriously. A supposed reporter was white-knighting for a government official during the official Q&A. The same reporter had come up to me before Wells' speech and asked if I had criticized Inman-Grant. Who needs government censors when you have Politico?
After he asked his question, Wells showed the most emotion, describing online criticism of Inman-Grant as "abuse." She also talked about her own staff's supposed suffering. I kid you not. The mask dropped, and you could see what really upset her: people — including a sitting Senator — criticizing government officials.
After gaslighting the audience about fake accounts, Wells repeatedly insisted the government wasn't trying to censor content. She said this after filling her speech with examples of content she claimed harmed people. You couldn't make it up.
This legislation is the culmination of decades of progressives equating words with physical violence. Wells cynically compared her legislation to prevent psychological "harm" to various laws that protect people from physical harm, like seat belt laws.
BTW, Wells never said what content it was that she thought caused eating disorders. Pictures of skinny women? Dietary advice? Who knows. Nobody asked.
Another important moment came when Wells explicitly said Australia would be pursuing censorship alongside other nations, including the UK, France, and Spain—all countries where governments risk losing power to populists.
I spoke with Julie Inman-Grant before the speech began and asked about the fake accounts. She insisted they were there just for enforcement, and when I asked why the law allowed them to be used for government propaganda, she said she might write an "enforcement memo," which, of course, would have no impact on the legislation.
After her speech, I went up to Wells and asked if she was seriously saying the legislation didn't allow the government to use fake accounts for government propaganda. She refused to answer. A man who said he was from the National Press Club stepped in front of me and said I could interview her afterward. But that wasn't possible because they rushed her out the back to avoid any difficult questions.
So there you have it. The pettiest people in Australia are seeking to silence citizens and their political opponents in the name of protecting children. These deeply intolerant and cynical people want to control what you can see and say online. And they're doing it with most of the media's support. Australia has reached a new low in its rapid descent into dogmatism, intolerance, and censorship.
The government today will introduce sweeping censorship that @AlboMP & @AnikaWells lie about. Below she claims the government wants to create a bot army of fake accounts for “research” when the bill clearly intends for them to be used in partisan warfare against fooled citizens.
Some people get upset when the word imbecile is used to describe a politician.
In this case it fits perfectly when used to describe Minister Wells
@AustralianLabor

“Only Albanese could mistake a temporary retreat from his own government's stupidity as evidence of his personal brilliance. - PVO” 😂
“Anthony Albanese appears to have two versions of how his government delayed the Australian Tax Office's credit card ban.
But the one you get depends on whether he is accepting applause or answering questions.
At Tuesday night's Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry event, the Prime Minister was the man who got things done.
Chief Executive Andrew McKellar sent him a text on Thursday morning last week. By Friday morning, there was an announcement.
Perhaps small businesses should forget navigating government departments and simply ask for Albanese's mobile number?
He even supplied the dialogue: 'It is in hand, I agree with what you are saying and I will get it done!'
One man. One phone. A nation's tax payment arrangements saved before breakfast.
Then came Question Time on Wednesday. Asked about his intervention by Opposition Leader Angus Taylor, Albanese suddenly discovered the joys of collective government.
'The whole premise [of the question] is completely wrong,' he declared, before explaining that he and Treasurer Jim Chalmers had discussed the matter, convened the expenditure review committee and secured unanimous agreement across the government's leadership group.
How touching. At dinner, Albanese gets it done. In Parliament, everyone gets a participation certificate.
Of course, both accounts probably describe different parts of the same process.
A Prime Minister can receive a text, speak to his Treasurer and take a proposal to a committee, essentially telling it what's going to happen next.
But that makes the theatrical indignation about the question's 'whole premise' even sillier.
Taylor was following the trail of breadcrumbs that Albanese had scattered while congratulating himself.
If you don't want people thinking you personally stepped in to sort something out, perhaps don't tell a roomful of business leaders that you personally stepped in to sort something out.
And what was this magnificent achievement anyway?
Delaying an ATO ban on credit card payments that had left businesses worried about how they would pay their tax bills after a policy change Labor made.
The government is now debating who deserves credit for temporarily sparing businesses a headache they should never have faced. What a clown show”
Albo never mentions Antisemitism, and I've worked out why.........
He can't pronounce it.
#IslamicExtremism he obviously can't pronounce that either
@AlboMP
Chalmers received a PhD for his doctoral thesis on Paul Keating.
That's as close as he has ever been to Economics
I can guarantee that without a doubt, nobody, I repeat nobody will be doing a doctoral thesis on @JEChalmers and his time as Treasurer of Australia.
#Clueless
Dilbo's disastrous Podcast with his "daughter" and boyfriend was apparently done in February
Don't tell me Dilbo didn't try to bury it......more likely some of the crew of the SS Dilbo have decided to spring a few leaks......
Will the Captain go down with his Ship?.........🤔
Hey @JEChalmers you do of course realise that Inflation is not about Beach balls or Car tyres, you're not a Treasurers backside, admit it and resign
