Made this tweet in reference to the music, and after the comments, went to check it out, and I feel it was quite extreme the way it's worded. The song sounded very unconventional, but then nothing there fr. 🙏

Interesting…
Deeper Life back on campus at FUOYE in 2016, opposite White House on Oye campus, retrained my mind to study diligently. I took that lesson into CACCF, Ikole.
GOD BLESS ALL THE LEADERS WHO UNDERSTAND THE ASSIGNMENT.
CACCF, Rufus Giwa, 2013–2015, enlightened and guided me by example. While I served as an executive, lol, you had to have academic drive, which was the primary focus.
I attended Deeper-life campus fellowship in Moro in 2017. They’d tell you to take a step back if your scores aren’t good or you didn’t meet the educational standard.
They’d advise you to focus more on reading, in that OAU, you will see people struggling and instead of the church to help them. They’d say it’s because they don’t do the things of God enough.
Though we had people that pretended through the system but after we left, we say what they became, not to mock them. I am a kind of person that if I go to a Club (when I used to), I don’t hide it. I post about it and whenever I am called, I say the reason (Oh, I lead my class and it will be nice of them to have me there) I don’t hide.
Thankfully I only have testimonies. The churches I attended were superb and we were a testament to excellence😊♥️‼️

"Sit down, young man, sit down and be still. When God wants to convert the heathen, He will do it without consulting either you or me."
Such was the hyper-Calvinistic riposte by John C. Ryland to a young William Carey, who was brimming with missionary zeal. Carey, however, was unfazed by this temporary defeat. Over the next six years, he formulated a thoroughly Calvinistic response, publishing it in his 1792 pamphlet, An Enquiry into the Obligations of Christians to Use Means for the Conversion of the Heathens.
Carey countered that God sovereignly ordains both the ends (salvation) and the means (the preaching of the Gospel). For him, the Great Commission remained a binding command, and God's unstoppable decree of election guaranteed that missionary efforts would successfully bear fruit.
This theological confidence is crystallized in Carey's famous slogan:
"Expect great things from God; attempt great things for God."
With the help of God, Carey did exactly that—sailing to India, enduring immense personal tragedy, mastering complex languages, translating the Scriptures, winning converts, establishing schools, and influencing the abolition of infanticide and widow burning (sati).
He is justly dubbed the "father of modern missions." Carey inspired generations of future missionaries—including Hudson Taylor to China and David Livingstone to Central Africa—who all attested to the legacy of a man who dared to attempt great things for God.

You can tell a lot about a pastor’s leadership by the conduct of his members. You can never see my church members rushing to touch Apostle or PL chair or car for a supposed miracle “touch.” The orange ministry culture is an error from the top. Leadership sets the tone. They should fix it ASAP!

There's not a friend like the lowly Jesus.
No, not one! No, not one!
None else could heal all our soul's diseases.
No, not one! No, not one!
Jesus knows all about our struggles;
He will guide till the day is done.
There's not a friend like the lowly Jesus.
No, not one! No,not one
Every Tom, Dick and Harry in uni was doing things that their parents didn’t send them to do. Can we please?😂 Church fellowships generally aren’t the problem.
100%
Paul the Apostle commended the Berean Christians for scrutinizing his teachings. He called them noble, and more noble than others.
Paul put himself under the curse due false teachers. If we, or an angel from heaven preach something contrary, let that person be accursed.
That's how much the Apostles demonstrated fidelity to the scriptures and truth.
They were comfortable if people found something wrong with their teachings.
They didn't exempt themselves from the commensurate judgement for false teachings.
Anyone telling you that you'll incur God's wrath or you're touching God's anointed for scrutinizing what they teach or opposing their falsehood is adding manipulation to their sins.
Search the scriptures daily if the things you hear are true. Try every Spirit.

On The superiority of Scripture:
Isaiah 8:20:
"To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word it is because there is no light in them."
The law and the testimony, Scripture, is the standard against which everything else is measured.
Not the other way around.
Not Scripture measured against tradition.
Not Scripture measured against personal experience.
Not Scripture measured against cultural sensibility.
Everything else is measured against Scripture.
Acts 17:11 commends the Berean believers because they "searched the scriptures daily whether those things were so."
Even apostolic teaching was tested against the written Word.
If Paul's own preaching was subject to that test, nothing claiming spiritual authority today is exempt from it.
What saith the scripture is not just Paul's rhetorical device. It is the only legitimate court of appeal for Christian doctrine and conduct.
What Saith The Scriptures!

The Berean Christians did not simply accept Paul's apostolic authority without verification.
They also did not reject his teaching because it was new or unfamiliar.
They held both honesty and rigor together. Genuinely open to receive God's truth and genuinely testing to ensure its so according to the scriptures. That combination is rare.
Most people lean toward one or the other. Either uncritical acceptance of whoever is teaching or reflexive suspicion of anything unfamiliar.
The Bereans modelled something better than both.

Someone lost his aunty after arranging a surprise for her at home. The birthday-style chants and noise startled her, and she reportedly passed away.
This is heartbreaking. 💔 Please, let’s be mindful of the surprises we organise for people. Not everyone can handle sudden shocks.

Free!! Thank you Jesus. You died once unto sin, and you died for me, and with me.

Every time I see a clip of Rev. Dachuma, he is lamenting at the grave of his people. It really puts things in perspective for me in so many ways.
What an example of perseverance in trials, and faithfulness in hardship!
Jesu Saanu Wa.
EZEQUIEL DACHOMO! 🙏

...be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine...
System of checks and balances wey dem go comot you from leadership if you ask questions and such. Please.😂
The Nigerian church has a lot that needs fixing and it’s not a “new age church” thing. The fruits we’re seeing now are from roots planted in the days of our fathers.
