No person, no family, no community, no people should be made to suffer such trauma. #TyreNichols

Who should protect our sons, our brothers…how many times will we lose them as they call for their mothers to save them….Tyre Nichols deserved to live…when will this stop!!

My heart breaks for the family and friends of #TyreNichols! It’s so sad. It’s so painful. My heart hurts for our black men. As a black woman, I feel this pain. I don’t want to watch a video of a black man being murdered. I pray the world will remember you for the way you lived.

Tyre should still be here, with his family and doing the things he loved – like skateboarding and photography. I’m heartbroken and angry. We’ve seen this far too many times.
There must be justice and accountability, and a system that makes everyone feel and be protected.
It’s Regents week and students got to take a break! Shout out to our students on Honor Roll and those recognized for BASE behavior! #snowtubing #incentivetrips #funtimes

in the spirit of Loving Kingsbridge, toward the future community ownership of the Armory, BASE students have been working on a beautiful promotional video, which was published! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Jay Corsino and Julia Lamia met the Bronx Boro President, Vanessa Gibson, and Genaro Agustin, and Elijah McCall met City Council Member Pierina Ana Sanchez at the FIRST Public Workshop on the Kingsbridge Armory
ALT Rexford Frempong even showed up after he took the SAT exam! Wow!
ALT We met a lot of community members who have been involved in the Armory for the past 30 years!
ALT Our 2017 Graduates came out to get involved as well: pictured here is Mariam Shardow and Brian Gray visited later.
Elijah McCall led a report-back from his visit to the Major Owens Wellness Center in Brooklyn. He spoke about what we in the Bronx can learn from the redeveloped armory in Brooklyn. Big Shout out to Elijah!
ALT Nov. 14, Anthony Mero and Elijah went to the Bedford Armory to learn from their project!
Seniors went on a Walking Tour of Kingsbridge Heights to observe the assets and areas of opportunity in the neighborhood. They were in awe of the beauty, they marveled at the stature of the Armory & felt seen by the Teen Zone Librarians at the Bx Library Center.
ALT Kingsbridge Armory - loving the street vendors!
