I highly doubt Valve would've made this new Overwatch system with the same issues as the one in CS:GO regarding data poisoning.
Trust factor can somewhat work to group players into pools of trust, what if there's pre-labeled data to determine who's mislabelling data?

A "sticker sale" came, but not in the normal 75% off format
Lower token costs targeted 75% off, but after 2.5k tokens it begins discounting even more, over 95% in some cases
While the exact formula is unclear, its likely Valve is using a recent averaged price as baseline
I don't think it'll save the stickers, but there is no "sale" yet like previous years. They target roughly the same value of a capsule pre sale for these sticker prices.
If a previous major had no sticker sale it'd also have produced very little revenue for teams.

In the Spy Tech Collection, Mil-Spec improved the most, 193%!
If you're aware of the market this could've lead to a simple 2x (if prices hold after tradehold)

A few days later update for the NEW armory collections
Unbox ROI:
Spy Tech - 61%➡️90%
Arabesque - 53%➡️69%
Fruits & Veggies - 39%➡️61%
Auto Racing - 30%➡️53%
Being aware of redemption cost ➡️ unbox value can pay off, many collections improving by 50%.
Personal opinion, prices won't sit THIS LOW for too long
Bot farms won't buy and redeem armory stars for at best -40% return.
Real players may, but likely less and less as they see how little return they receive, even when they are lucky.
I estimate >80% ROI by end of month
Full float + 2 coverts = deflationary for the collection.
Valve must be studying the armory, seeing an oversupply of good wear coverts, so to appease the demand they lowered the supply.
Compared to the M4 Fade Factory New every 811 unboxings, each new FN covert is 1 in 52k

The new Cologne Highlight Charms and Champions stickers looked like they might dilute the sticker pool and act as a hidden sale.
They don’t.
Early data suggests Champion stickers and Highlight Charms have their own separate value pools, leaving the original sticker pool intact.
