In January, we bid farewell to 2 UK audio companies, @BroccoliContent and @BoomShakaProd. Their dedication to fresh stories and talents was a beacon of hope for a more inclusive sector. I salute and extend our warmest wishes to Renay and Gemma as they embark on new journeys. Ta x

In January we say goodbye to both @BroccoliContent and @BoomShakaProd. Two leading production companies with non-white founders. The outrage is audibly silent. Greater efforts need to be made to ensure the audio industry progresses.
What will you do?

Such a bummer. Broccoli made some awesome shows and truly championed diversity from the start.
Really hope this isn’t a sign of how the audio industry is going to look in 2024…

Really sorry to hear about this - it sucks like hell but I’ve no doubt the people who drove this forward will continue to do great work and generally make podcasting less crap. Hire them!

Really sad to hear this. Broccoli made great programmes telling stories we didn’t hear elsewhere. I hope those stories find new homes.

I'm feeling some kinda way abt this. It wasn't that long ago when we were building a podcasting community based on so many good things + we were navigating w/some likeminded ppl.
Thank you @BroccoliContent for your contribution to that movement. #EqualityInAudio
