Now there's a surprise. The scare stories promoted by Porter and Courtinio and shared by right wing press turned out to be nothing and their desperation to claim failure as pushed the grid to operate even more cautiously. neso.energy/news/independent…

On 19 July 2024, I published two posts on my X account in which I made allegations about Mr Mothin Ali being involved in the Harehills riots. I have accepted these were incorrect and I have jointly made a statement in open Court in order to apologise to Mr Ali and correct the record which is below. archive.org/details/JSIOC-MA…

One of the men in this picture is a politician currently serving 10 and a half years in prison for accepting Russian bribes. The other was his boss and doesn't think there's evidence of Russia interfering in UK politics.

For all those saying that there’s no correlation between bot traffic and the ‘patriot’s’ engagement:

I was sceptical about the claimed number of Russian bot accounts, but seeing posts like this no longer get piled on pretty much proves this platform had been converted into a targeted misinformation site by Russia.
I'm testing the Russian bots, because traffic from Yandex bots is currently close to zero (check Cloudflare Radar). That's because Ukraine has imposed a ban on them — by firepower. So I'm going to say the following things, which will most likely generate organic, authentic, human traffic, but without the bot traffic. Let's see: * russia is a criminal state; * russia is a terrorist state; * russia is ruled by a criminal regime; * Putin and the entire russian leadership, from 2014 and 2022 onwards, should find themselves inside the courtroom of The Hague Tribunal; * Ukraine is defending itself against all of russia's attacks, pressure from the Trump Administration, and shipments of sophisticated components from around the world, including Europe; * The Ukrainian people are, first and foremost, the ones whom we in Romania — and the Republic of Moldova as well (or especially) — should thank for keeping the russian Army at bay; * The European Union is the best thing that has happened to Romania since the Great Union of 1918; * The United States of America under Donald Trump has become nothing more than an empty shell of the values and principles it championed for decades; * Donald Trump is a convicted common criminal, now also suspected of pedophilia and other forms of sexual abuse against girls and women in connection with the Epstein files; * Elon Musk is an individual who has absolutely nothing to do with ethics or morality, not even remotely. Feel free to add other things that might attract the bots' attention, and let's see whether they're still operating or not.

If confirmed, this is telling: Russian data centres get hit, and online activity around AfD suddenly plummets. 📉 So much talk about German patriotism… then the connection from Russia goes down. 🤔🇷🇺

Another basic @7Kiwi mistake ends up being published by a think tank, then used in an economic proposal by the opposition. It's not difficult to check your sources & verify their figures, unless of course this was a deliberate attempt to mislead.
FACTCHECK: UK Conservatives double the ‘cost of net-zero’ after spreadsheet blunder The Tory "Right Way" booklet makes an erroneous claim about the cost of cutting emissions, possibly taken from a Jan26 thinktank report, and deffo the most idiotic error I've seen for a while 🧵

Uh oh. The Conservatives, Reform UK and others have been using false figures for Net Zero. The cost of net zero is just 0.2% of GDP. The savings from Net Zero last for 1000s of years and include health, ecosystem services and a more stable climate than it would otherwise become.

I hadn’t realised just how vulnerable the UK’s gas network really is. Just one conventional ballistic missile on the Peterborough Compressor Station can cripple the entire network. Just another reason to electrify I guess?🤔 youtu.be/sKDnZz4wypI?is=-YsN…

Spending year after year for a decade hoping & praying for a random grid blackout, so you can blame it on Renewables, is like praying your very reliable car will brake down just so you can say that the Sainsbury’s petrol you’ve been using for 10 years is crap.
