Countless activists put it all on the line for Julius — and won a spectacular, partial victory. We still must get him out – but he needs to be alive for us to do so. So he lives on. And we fight on. #ThisIsWhyWeFight #JusticeForJulius
Julius Jones is granted clemency by Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt just hours before before he was scheduled to be executed for a 1999 murder he says he did not commit

BREAKING: After spending the past 20 years fighting for his life on death row, Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt commuted Julius Jones' sentence to life without the possibility of parole the day Jones was scheduled to be executed. abcn.ws/3HCLTdS

I’m truly thankful that #JuliusJones will not be executed.
@GovStitt did order ineligibility to apply for a commutation, pardon, or parole for the rest of his life. So the work for justice continues.
Very importantly and most urgently, we must abolish the death penalty.

The state of Mississippi has executed David Cox. His friends told me he accepted the forgiveness of Jesus, but had a hard time forgiving himself. He gave up all his appeals in court & decided to let the state kill him. He loved Jesus, & signed all his letters:
“David and Jesus”
