Interior CS Kipchumba Murkomen said that the government has set up buffer points, including the newly established Lii and Magado police training camps in Meru, specifically designed to deter cross-border banditry.
In the current security situation in Samburu, Meru, and Isiolo counties, Murkomen affirmed that specialized police units—including GSU, ASTU, Quick Response Unit (QRU), and Special Operations Group (SOG)—have been strategically stationed across the affected regions.
