It’s that light blue line down in the bottom left of @chrisyelland’s chart you need to be worried about. The performance of @Eskom_SA’s power stations is at an historic low. The kit is old. Over the past 15 years maintenance has been skipped or underdone. Hard to fix this now
The @Eskom_SA week-on-week energy availability factor (EAF) for the 1st 4 weeks of 2020 are at all time historic low levels, even lower than in the same period last year when South Africa was plunged into loadshedding in the first quarter of 2019.
