From 11.1.2022 If you are feeling WELL / no symptoms of Covid & have a positive lateral flow you should self isolate but no longer need to get a PCR (unless on medical advice) Please see this simple 2 page flowchart that explains new rules (for England) docs.google.com/presentation…

Another Important public health message! As well as knowing about cold like symptoms- always swab both your throat as well as your nose if you want an accurate #LFT ! We are lucky in U.K. to have them - so let’s use wisely

Well, there it is. Today, with the “wrong” (i.e. cold) symptoms and after a string of negative LFTs, I finally took Twitter advice and swabbed my throat as well as my nose (no mean feat with that diddly stick). If you think you might have COVID, consider adding the throat sample

Every adult in the country now needs to get a Covid booster vaccine, two doses does not give you enough protection against Omicron. Walk in clinics available 27-30 December at Bridgewater Surgery, Printers Ave, you do not need to be a registered patient to get your booster

TY @dean4watford We would encourage all our patients to be careful Protection following a covid-19 jab can take up to 2 weeks to kick in Covid boosters (3rd jab) gives c75% protection vs #omicron - this is good but not full Please wear masks in public, care when socialising

The COVID vaccine booking service is currently facing extremely high demand so is operating a queueing system. For users aged 18-29, please be aware that booking opens on Wednesday 15 Dec. For all others experiencing waits, we would advise trying again later today or tomorrow.
