Have been informed that my translation of In Farthest Seas has been awarded by part of the Italian government with the Premio alla Traduzione / Translation Prize for the year’s best translation into English (UK). It was nominated by @iiclondra 💙 Happy WIT Month!
The way the scene of Benjamin's death is revealed in Michele Mari's All the Iron in the Eiffel Tower, my god... One of the most emotional and haunting things I've ever translated. Will now be on my mind all day.

Never done this before, but thought it might be fun to log some of what I read (& watch) for Michele Mari’s supernatural & hyperliterary journey through the arcades of Paris, All the Iron in the Eiffel Tower.
Naturally, the work of the novel’s protagonist Walter Benjamin is key!
