The weird thing is, you don't know what happens to your song what's out in the world. For me, with addicts in my life (not heroin, but other things), I can literally never hear that song and not think about someone broken, not selfish. It's an amazing song...
I mean no disrespect. I'm a huge fan. I'll be seeing @mattnathanson with @train and The Fray @ Merriwhether Post in July with my other daughter. I just hear it differently than he wrote it, I guess. It always makes me pause, either way.
Is it just me, or toxic leadership becoming the default state? In government, obviously. But it also seems to be ever-more-present in the private sector.

@USNavy So, just sort of thinking out loud here. You are on the cusp of canceling the FFG program with no backup plan. And there's a now incomplete NSC sitting at HII, which has already done work on making a frigate out of the design. news.usni.org/2025/06/05/ing…
HII had some delivery problems, which gives one pause, but it's a hot production line of a ship NavSea has already vetted, the systems on it are compatible with other Navy stuff, and the supply chain is already stood up.
Maybe @ConsWahoo (who knows a lot more than I do about this) can give a convincing answer to why this is a bad idea. But it seems as if the money the Navy would save by taking over an incomplete ship could be used to improve the causes of delay and keep a hot line open.
This is so hilariously bad. The plane is so much bigger than the people, and the people are all giants compared to the nearby neighborhood. This plane is bigger than the Spruce Goose. Also let's talk about the fact that the plane landed in that condition—and no ejection!
