Delighted that my book, THE CULTURE TRAP, has been published by @OxUniPress! This ethnography centers and celebrates Black youth in London and NYC schools, and shows that the use of culture to explain Black students' success or failure in schools is not only tricky; it is a trap!
THE CULTURE TRAP is a comparative ethnography of race, culture and education. The book highlights how culture is used as an alibi for racism in London and New York City schools, and what educators, parents, and students can do to change the beliefs and practices that reinforce racism.

Enjoyed chairing the @TBPI_UK discussion on Economics. Two brilliant and dynamic speakers @Miatsf and @JasziieeM gave us plenty of food for thought. The questions from the audience were thoughtful and inquisitive. This was a much needed conversation. #TBPIEvent
