“U.K. and Europe Recoil From Trump’s Diesel Deal With Putin” Why not Americans, too? If the US is energy-independent, why are we selling out US consumers just so US oil companies can profit abroad? nytimes.com/2026/10/13/world… via @NYTimes

There’s nowhere like “now” and “here.”

“And” is in the middle of “nowhere.”

My point is the end of this sentence. It’s generally a good idea to have one when speaking.

What style of music is associated with Yom Kippur? Atonal.

If Trump wants to return $500 billion in _legally collected_ Obamacare taxes directly to US adult citizens … then surely he wants to return every penny of his _illegal_ tariffs to each US citizen that paid for them, out of pocket, just to give billionaires welfare checks. Right?

You’re joking, right? Technology breeds crime that fuels a price-tiered security industry. Technology creates the barriers you must pay extra to clear. When technology is monetized, the crime it breeds justifies policing & security industries where you get what you pay for.
That's the bigger issue. Tech should reduce friction, not create new barriers.

If technology didn’t create barriers, increase inequality & cultivate “friction” among people & economic classes, it wouldn’t be possible for corporations to monetize or profit from it. That lets them put out the fire they started, like a protection racket, or US healthcare.

In 2026, the safest rule of thumb is this: Don’t dress better than your interviewer. Your Sunday Finest may be your Monday-to-Friday Worst if you dress better than your potential boss. That’s why I dress like a clown in job interviews.

“Thank you Congress for being so spineless, you gave yourselves and all US citizens the same amount of privacy as former Soviet Union citizens enjoyed—which was none at all. Thank you for using corporate socialism to coerce us into equality by making us all 2nd class citizens.”

Why does the GOP detest individual privacy, unless they themselves are surveilled? Are they just infantile, shameless, grotesque hypocrites? They’re doing it to Biden, too, by seizing the audio recordings he made for his memoirs. They violate the 4th & 14th Amendments w/glee.

GOP leaders are cruel and unusual public shamers, high-tech peeping toms & elder abusers of 85-year-olds. Fauci’s phone was not on a government server; if it’s his own phone, this proves GOP leaders are enemies of privacy & human rights for all Americans — unless it’s theirs.

“Why are so few young people finding love?” Bc they’re broke, there’s no predictable future & Boomers blew Pax Americana & its winnings on themselves & stuck their grandkids w/ the bill, & when they see the bill, their grandkids are suddenly “communists.” apple.news/AVZ3TLZhJQeytwKpf…?

Is this the definition of cognitive dissonance? “Meta’s New Feel-Good AI Ad Uses a Song About the World Ending.” It’s my favorite song from my favorite album and it’s great. The album’s closing song is “Rock & Roll Suicide.” Why so many Armageddon vibes? wired.com/story/meta-david-b…

“BowieBible.com also quotes … drummer Mick Woodmansey: “Well, we chatted about it, and we knew it was about the end of the world and pretty depressing,” Woodmansey said … “I remember when we recorded it, he was … in tears. He was doing the vocal and he was … crying.”

For more clues about Bowie’s _intentions_ for the lyrics—in the ad, Meta says “while technology changes, the intentions behind them never do” (except for respecting privacy, apparently)—look at Bowie’s next Album, “Diamond Dogs,” about an Orwellian, apocalyptic, dystopian future.

Trump is ethnically cleansing Haitian immigrants who are here legally, which is a war crime, & he’s giving those who don’t self-deport scarlet-letter-type ankle monitors—why not just give them yellow stars and throw them in work camps? Trump is the opposite of American values.

It can’t be legal in NYC to make official new-hires fill out onboarding forms at home, w/out pay, before starting a new job. I’m Gen-X. The forms were always WORK completed in-office, on the clock & you got paid for it. Now, you fill them out w/out pay. How’s that not slavery?
