Just came from voting on the next Secretary General of the United Nations. President Trump needs a partner who will help drive reform and broker peace deals.
The straw poll on October 16 completely resets the race for the next United Nations Secretary General. All current candidates are opposed by at least two permanent members of the Security Council. Expect withdrawals and new candidates. Which gives the US opportunities. aei.org/foreign-and-defense-…

A lot of ink has been spilled about the US abandoning the United Nations. Yet, despite deep cuts, America contributed $7.1 billion in 2025 to the UN system, about half the $14.4 billion in 2024. Nonetheless, the US contributed far more than any other nation. aei.org/foreign-and-defense-…

48 UN Member States refused to participate in the UN’s shameful High-Level Meeting commemorating the 25th anniversary of the notorious anti-Western, antisemitic Durban Conference – nearly a quarter of the UN.
This was a significant increase from 38 countries boycotting in 2021. We thank all Member States who joined the United States in rejecting Durban’s poisonous legacy.
