Provost Office salaries increased by over $300,000 from FY 19 to FY 24, per results of WVU’s administrative review.
Multiple college-level reviews revealed understaffing and reinvestment needs following salary and operating budget reductions.

I have 11 audible credits that I need to spend before tomorrow!!! Give me your favorite sci-fi books/series. I love hard/psychological Sci-fi. I’ve already read Expanse series, 3-body prob series, collapsing empire series (Scalzi), Children of Time series. The weirder the better!

I am giving a required evening exam in a building where all the exterior doors are locked. I have a TA posted at a door to let students in. Solid decision-making to start locking all building doors at absolutely ridiculous times EVEN WHEN THERE IS NIGHTTIME TESTING. Big 🧠 energy

I’ve been away from Twitter for a while but I dropped back in to complain about my work situation, so I wanted to also drop back in to say that I’m still sober (10 years, 5 months) but I’m back in the Rooms. It’s been several years but it’s time I get back to it. (10 year coin!)
Hardest times of my life have me feeling an assortment of feels that need to be examined and dissected, and nothing helps more than a community that knows exactly what I’m going through. It’s not a weakness, it’s being proactive and resourceful. Words are nothing w/o actions so
I’m getting back in the Rooms, working those steps, and maybe eventually being a sponsor. Sober holidays are hard, but the other path leads to destruction (this is not an exaggeration). I’m not drinking/using with you today. #RecoveryPosse
Love how unserious WVU is. This could have saved some of my colleagues’ jobs. It could funded some TA lines. It could have funded my measly coordination stipend for like a million years. But hey, wouldn’t want an administrator to have to drive like a peasant.
New: WVU footed a $230K+ bill for Coben to fly on a private plane to Charleston and work for the governor and health department.
They spent thousands more in flights when he joined others. One trip cost more than the median household income in the state.
