Ritchson has spoken about his own mental health issues. Last year the actor admitted that he got so depressed as his acting career was ramping up that he tried to commit suicide. “Being bipolar has wreaked havoc on my life many, many times. I would wish it away if I could, but it’s so much a part of who I am now that I should celebrate it a little or, at least, accept it,” he said. #reacher

In case you needed a reminder that only one side in this country actually believes in American exceptionalism, Pat McAfee said on ESPN that the U.S. military is cool and liberals are having a total meltdown about it in the replies.
Pat McAfee: "We certainly appreciate the hell out of the American military. And if you're not the United States of America and you hear that sound, your ass better run." Rece Davis: "That's the one thing the two sides here can agree on, for sure."

JUST IN: $84 BILLION DOORDASH HAS OFFICIALLY LEFT DELAWARE FOR NEVADA. DoorDash’s reincorporation became effective yesterday at 12:02 a.m. Pacific. $DASH is now governed by Nevada corporate law; its Nasdaq listing, operations, management and employees are unchanged. When DoorDash proposed the move, it said Nevada offered a “more predictable, statute-based legal environment” and specifically pointed to Nevada’s codification of fiduciary duties as providing greater stability and certainty for corporate decision-making. At roughly $84B, DoorDash is now the sixth-largest company in SMU’s 90-company reincorporation cohort. tracker.smucgi.org/firms/DAS…
JUST IN: DOORDASH FILES DEFINITIVE NOTICE OF ITS DELAWARE EXIT — THE REQUIRED 20-DAY WAITING PERIOD IS NOW UNDERWAY. DoorDash’s Aug. 27 Schedule 14C says its board compared Delaware with Nevada and Texas and concluded Nevada’s statute-based system is likely to provide greater predictability in corporate governance and litigation than Delaware. The company says it expects to complete the Nevada reincorporation as soon as practicable after the waiting period. DoorDash’s founders and other consenting shareholders already control 54.2% of the voting power, so no additional shareholder vote is required. The definitive notice is now out and the conversion process is moving toward completion.

Regulatory costs by Presidency: Bush 172 billion Obama 890 billion Trump 40 billion Biden 1.8 trillion Biden’s $1.8 trillion in projected regulatory costs equals approximately $5,300 per American, based on a population of roughly 340 million. Trump 2.0 has reduced regulatory costs by approximately $1.29 trillion or 3,750 dollars per American. Funny how no one talks about that.

A 21-year-old Brazilian influencer was dragged from her home and shot to death in front of her father just days after being released from custody. According to the New York Post, Evelyn Lima Dantas was under investigation for allegedly helping facilitate the July murder of a retired police officer. Gunmen reportedly entered her home, forced her father to the ground, dragged Dantas outside and shot her multiple times. Before fleeing, the attackers spray-painted “TCP” on the house, initials associated with the Terceiro Comando Puro criminal faction. Police are investigating whether her killing was retaliation or an attempt to silence her, but authorities have not confirmed who was responsible. Source: New York Post #TrueCrime #BrazilNews

How do we tackle our $40 trillion deficit? With my Six Penny Plan. We make even across-the-board cuts and eliminate six cents from every dollar the federal government spends. After five years, the budget would be balanced. It can be done. Washington just has to have the willpower to do it.

In a faculty meeting I attended, one professor asked “if we delete our emails can they still be found?” The answer was “yes” and you could see the panic in her eyes. Universities are state agencies that must preserve their documents for information requests. This includes emails. If you believe you have been discriminated against you can request those emails. If they try to destroy the emails/information the Az Supreme Court just ruled they will be held accountable.

Gillian Anderson dared to speak up for Sudan and just see what her comments section looks like. It’s an unspoken rule that any time someone mentions suffering that isn't in Gaza, the response is to attack them for not talking about Gaza. Sudan has the largest displacement crisis in the world and millions of children going hungry, over 150,000 killed or starved to death, and the reaction to a video about them is "is she a zio?" Do you understand how demented these people are?

The highly detailed American Time Use Survey has shown Americans spending an increasing amount of time at home and decreasing time on several specific out-of-the-house activities, for reasons pertaining not just to cost but also to the rise of remote work and changing patterns of how people socialize and communicate. The share of people who spent time at arts and entertainment events dropped by more than 20 percent from 2019 to 2025, for instance, as did the share of people who went out to eat and drink on an average day. Americans did more than 9 percent of their eating in restaurants and bars in 2014, and less than 7 percent a decade later. UCLA researchers found an ongoing and accelerating trend: Americans spent on average 29 fewer minutes per day doing activities out of their houses in 2019 than they did in 2003, and a whopping 53 minutes fewer in 2023 than in 2019. “Americans are staying home to a startling degree,” they wrote in an academic paper. washingtonpost.com/business/…

Charlie Kirk’s family says his assassination should never have been allowed to happen. His family and estate have filed a notice of claim against Utah officials and Utah Valley University, alleging a series of security failures left Kirk “helpless” to the rooftop shooter who killed him during an outdoor campus event. The claim alleges officials failed to conduct a meaningful risk assessment, left nearby rooftops unsecured, assigned only six campus officers to an event with thousands of people and failed to establish a secure perimeter or bring in outside law enforcement before the shooting. It also alleges university officials had been warned about nearby rooftop access beforehand. Kirk’s family says these failures created a foreseeable danger and argues basic security measures could have prevented his death. The allegations remain claims and have not been proven in court.
