In fact, the day before he'd claimed that he might not renew gas contracts with "neighbouring countries." But here are the facts. The stock market lost 1/3 of its value in a year, MSCI is about to delist the country and the central bank raised rates to defend the rupiah... So the energy minister's response to this was just to threaten people? Another fact is that from January, coal, palm oil and nickel alloys may only leave through a state trading company that "may determine a margin at a reasonable level." Here's the issue though, you can't just hedge 'respect'. You need to get permission and that's it. This market is very dark and we go through it in our latest post... Act accordingly.
