I’m giving thousands of pubs, clubs and music venues a 20% cut in business rates. I won’t stand by while these cherished local spaces disappear, replaced by boarded-up windows and ‘For Sale’ signs. They’re the heart of our communities and it’s time we backed them.

SOME NEWS 🚨 this year I'm joining Shark Tank USA!!! 📺 🇺🇸 this was a dream of mine AND my mums...let me explain👇🏾 My nigerian mum raised 4 of us without being able to read or write herself, having left school when she was a child in Nigeria. I struggled with school too - I wasn't a smart kid and couldn't pay attention, so I quickly realised the "traditional path" wasn't going to work for someone like me Then, when I was 12 years old, I discovered Dragons' Den! 🐉 Me and my mum both fell in love with the show. Looking back, I think entrepreneurship offered us both hope - a path to a better life for people like us, who couldn't pass tests in a classroom but were willing to work hard. At 12 I would pause the TV and give my verdict, as if I was the 6th Dragon By 16 I'd discovered Shark Tank and was starting my first (terrible) businesses By 18 I was a university dropout with a start-up And somehow, 9 years later, I ended up sitting in one of those Dragons' Den chairs I used to shout at from our sofa My mum has never fully gotten over it. When I call her today, 6 years later, the conversation is still 80% Dragons' Den - her opinion on what I said, the businesses, what SHE would have done... Btw, i'm genuinely not sure if she knows I have a podcast 😂 i don't think she's ever mentioned it 😅 But she knows Dragons' Den, and that's more than enough for her. I know she's always wanted me to do Shark Tank, so this phone call - telling her that day had come absolutely made my day, and hopefully her's too! I very much hope to do her proud + all of you that have supported me for the longest time... wish me luck!! 👊🏾❤️ P.S who would win in a fight, a shark 🦈 or a dragon 🐉 ???

Clarification: Sky News was not at the property at 7.41am. As has already been acknowledged, and as shown in the footage from 10.19am, Sky News was outside a property where Mr Farage was registered to vote at the last election. Sky News did not interact with Mr Farage’s daughter. On a single occasion, we approached the property without a camera operator, identified ourselves as Sky News, and the adult occupant chose not to engage. We were seeking to contact Mr Farage to ask questions about the gift he accepted from Mr Cottrell. This is a well-established and routine journalistic practice when reporting on matters of legitimate public interest. The footage clearly demonstrates that Sky News did not “hound” or pursue Mr Farage’s daughter. At no stage did we seek to speak to anyone other than Mr Farage in connection with this story.
Several media organisations have been hounding my daughter. When I approached the boss of Sky News and complained, they denied any contact — and so did their news report. Sky News are liars. I demand an apology from them and a promise not to repeat it.

Happy two years since I was elected to represent the great constituency of Leigh and Atherton. My priorities remain the same - to work hard for our communities and support the constituency every day … and drink lots of tea ☕️ instagram.com/reel/Daav-hNo1…

🚍 From March 2026, older and disabled bus pass holders will be able to travel FREE at any time on Bee Network buses — with the 9.30am restriction permanently removed. Public transport should be accessible, affordable and fair — and this announcement delivers exactly that.

It was great to visit and help out at Compassion in Action, who do incredible work supporting our community. From presents for local families to food hampers, and fuel vouchers donated by the local authority, their work is making a real difference to those who need it most. 👏

Through work with local schools, leading the APPG on ADHD, and ongoing discussions with the Minister for School Standards, I’ve been clear that classrooms must be inclusive for every child. The new funding to strengthen SEND support in schools is a welcome step forward. 💙 📚
