alright, here’s what we’ve done. we’ve dropped the Abstract name, removed all Abstract-related NFT traits, and got rid of the Luca and Cygaar 1/1's. HotDogs WTF verified on @opensea we’re covering the full cost of the migration. move any HotDogs NFTs you’re holding in your AGW to a standard EVM wallet. upgradable traits are coming to mainnet too. a lot more coming soon! 👀

abstract is shutting down. honestly, it’s hardly a surprise. it feels more like confirmation of what was already obvious. months of silence under the banner of “building behind the scenes.” meetings to keep people's hopes alive. @LucaNetz removing the ✳️, @0xCygaar bridging his funds out of abstract. the cryptic posts after team members left… i never fudded abstract. i’ve always been grateful for the opportunity it gave us to bring everything we imagined for HotDogs to life. i never turned around and trashed the ecosystem that gave us that opportunity. some ppl did, even while building here, without a second thought. i know this means nothing to a lot of ppl. and probably never will. apparently, it means nothing to Luca, Cygaar, or the rest of the team either. cuz after months of silence, they can publish what amounts to: “we’re shutting down, but we did some great things. we made you a cookie-baking game to pump up the TXs count. we brought over games that were already dying on arb, blast, and let them farm our users too.” then follow it up with “we’re sorry, but we lost money too. it was a startup. we tried, and it didn’t work.” and just like that, they slam the door in the face of everyone who believed in them. abstract was a huge opportunity for HotDogs. it helped us bring our dreams to life, and i’ll never deny that. today, it’s just a disappointment. it was never about the money. maybe that was our mistake. HotDogs launched on abstract’s first day and was one of its most anticipated collections. we could’ve taken advantage of that hype, set the supply at 10k and the mint price at 0.1 ETH, and potentially retired off it. maybe it would’ve sold out. maybe it wouldn’t have. either way, we could’ve had far more funds to build with than we do now. that wasn’t how we wanted to do things. i’m proud we chose to do what we felt was fair and honorable. HotDogs was one of the few collections, maybe the only one, with abstract built into its name and its entire visual identity. (traits, branding, portal) that was another mistake. we made thousands of HotDogs GIFs that reached millions of views. we loved putting abstract’s logo and green into all of them. abstract/frame, pudgy/igloo, whatever you want to call yourselves: whenever it suited you, you positioned abstract as a separate product from pudgy. yet you were the ones who made pudgy the face of abstract. as things kept going wrong, you tried harder and harder to distance abstract from pudgy. you kept looking for the problem in the wrong places. team members. builders on the chain. the ppl you showered with free money through $PENGU. the list goes on. and in the end, you decided that $1 million worth of ETH was better spent propping up the Pudgy floor price than doing something for abstract users and their expectations around XP/tiers, Project Quantum/TGE, an ICO or anything else. you knew plenty of ppl had bought those penguins to earn more abstract XP. don’t even get me started on that “Terms of Policy” bullshit. maybe financial losses can be made up for. but the time and effort you took from ppl over these 2 years can never be given back. you left the ppl who believed in you stranded. you let them down. so as for me, i’ll keep building HotDogs on ETH mainnet with a clear conscience. even if there’s only one person left besides me who believes in HotDogs, i’ll keep going. i won’t give up. i won’t shut the door in anyone’s face. that’s my fuel. keep following the @AbstractHotDogs account for migration details. it won’t be an easy process, but we’re going to build a future that’s fun and solid. 🫡
