Be sure to check out @AEACSWEP’s most recent issue exploring the repercussions of the #Dobbs decision for abortion seekers and providers, and for the country as a whole. Readers are bound to learn something new from our courageous and accomplished guest contributors.
Proud to be part of this groundbreaking issue of the @AEACSWEP newsletter on the changing landscape of abortion access. Took a brief trip through 5 decades of newsletter archives, and I'm pretty sure this is a first. Thanks @YanaRodgers and @anusha_chari!

My review of @ece_kocabicak's book "The Political Economy of Patriarchy in the Global South" is out in @FeministEcon. It is a must read for those who want to keep the concept of patriarchal exploitation alive. tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1…
Have been hanging back in this space for a while, and with news of the US SC decision on affirmative action today, I’m mindful of all the work we have to do. But I always welcome *good* news: @FeministEcon 2022 impact factor: 4.6! @IAFFE

I am deeply saddened by the passing of Bill Spriggs, a man who brought as much lasting brilliance to economics as he brought joy to his friends and colleagues.
Bill was a towering figure in his field, a trailblazer who challenged the field’s basic assumptions about racial discrimination in labor markets, pay equity, and worker empowerment.
Bill will be missed for his kindness, warmth, and humility.

So sad to hear about the loss of Drue Barker. Though I’ve long been an admirer of her contributions to feminist economics, I’d only recently gotten to know her thru some shared committee work at #iaffe. A thoughtful, sharp, and gracious presence, Drue will be sorely missed.
Dru Barker passed away. Another sudden & untimely loss for @IAFFE, feminist political economy, broader #feministeconomics, and women's studies communities. Rest in feminist power Dru. Condolences to her friends, family, collaborators Sue Feiner, Suzanne Bergeron, @EdithKuiper
