Not many teams --- in an exhibition game or a regular season game --- could go to East Lansing and beat Michigan State.
To do it without Braylon Mullins is an incredible achievement.
UConn is still UConn.

We found Wu-Tang's infamous 1-of-1 album, "Once Upon A Time in Shaolin" — once purchased by pharma bro Martin Shkreli — and played it for Method Man (and you) for the first time.

Totally insane levels of corruption and abuse of power are swirling all around us and my sense is that as angry as voters are about the cost of living they mostly are so awash in cynicism about politics that they don’t understand how egregious Trump is.
Billions of dollars’ worth of contracts predicting oil would fall and the S&P 500 would rise were placed about 15 minutes before Trump announced a U-turn on Iran in a post on Truth Social. CFTC staff began to investigate-- then were told to lay off. bloomberg.com/news/features/…

Why do sociopathic tech bros see human experiences like art and music as things that need to be solved? Go build apps that aide medical industries or solve real world problems like poverty, homelessness, or hunger. Stop trying to commodify every aspect of being human.

Barack Obama at his last press briefing with reporters, 2017:
"I have enjoyed working with all of you. That does not, of course, mean that I've enjoyed every story that you have filed, but that's the point of this relationship. You're not supposed to be sycophants. You're supposed to be skeptics. You're supposed to ask me tough questions. You're not supposed to be complimentary, but you're supposed to cast a critical eye on folks who hold enormous power."

I updated our database to include all screenings I have tracked since Feb 2011. I thought people might be interested in seeing the 100 most-screened films in NYC over the last 15 years, sorted by # of individual screenings plus a column for showtimes.

As I do every year on this day, I make myself re-read this and sit with it for as long as I can. And remember.
One of the greatest pieces of writing, on any subject, ever.

One of the biggest stock market bonanzas in history is being driven by an industry in which several of its own employees and leading lights think that what's being built could cause complete human extinction.

Trump personally denying federal disaster aid to blue states has become so routine the media barely mentions it, but rest assured, if a Democrat did this *once* it would be a weeks-long scandal. The double standard is really fucking infuriating.

This is unconscionable and unconstitutional. The federal government has no business patrolling polling places. For God's sake, whatever your politics, stand up against this tyranny.
BREAKING: DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin now says that ICE will be arresting people at polling places on election day. Specifically:
"ICE isn't there to patrol the polling places, we're there to enforce specific threats. The only reason why we would be at polling places if there is a threat to that polling place or we're serving a warrant on someone that we have been actively tracking down."
This is why they killed Democrats in the streets. This is why they keep arresting American citizens. They want Democrats to be too scared to show up at the polls on Election Day.
