This week, I was blessed to join Hindu New Yorkers in Queens celebrating Navratri, Durga Puja, Dashain, and Vijayadashami.
We danced garba, performed aarti, witnessed Sindoor Khela, and honored the Goddess Durga.
It was an honor to come together in joy, faith, and community in temples across our city — especially after the attempted mass shooting at a Hindu temple in Illinois last week.
May we all join together in our shared responsibility to stand against hate and care for one another.

This is a good post. Instead of the platitudes where you pretend to know about the festival by saying “good over evil, light of dark”, show and say what you did with the community, celebrate like you’re one of them, not a guest.

To all the Habs fans going to the game against San Jose.
We need to boo Celebrini so loudly that his fans (who have only watched hockey for about a week) get personally offended and cry about it on Twitter.
We must then vilify those “fans” by calling out their lack of puck knowledge, as well as the fact that they likely cheer for more than 1 team anyway.
The Bell Centre is for REAL fans, not Sharks “fans”.

I'm just telling you the Honest Truth:
This is a marketing stunt.
The technology is quite old.
Just nobody ever thought of bolting it on a car.
Because it's pointless.
Porsche or Ferrari could also build something like this if they wanted, but they don't, because it's not worth it for them.
It's worth it for Elon though, because his entire brand is all about having the halo of futurism.
His marketing scales especially well with tech gimmicks like this, which is why he is financially incentivised to do them, while others aren't.
Again, I'm not hating, but actually educating yall.
This is not engineering genius.
It's marketing genius.

Making it easier and safer for people to get out of cars and onto other modes of transportation decreases everyone’s travel time.
Picture your commute with 11% of Vancouver’s road space gone. That’s 220 kilometres of roads and sidewalks.
It’s hard to believe, but it’s on page 10 of the Green platform, and Pete Fry is running on it. He also wants a 30 km/h speed limit on major arterials.
In a city that already struggles with gridlock, that means more time stuck in traffic for commuters, delivery drivers, tradespeople and families.
Mayor Ken Sim has a different plan: fix our roads and sidewalks, coordinate construction better, and get traffic moving again.
If you drive, bike, bus or run a business in this city, how our streets work affects your day.
Election Day is October 17.

In 2022, 19-year-old Ankita Bhandari was murdered at a Uttarakhand resort after refusing to provide "extra services" to an unnamed VIP guest.
The resort owner was Pulkit Arya, the son of a BJP leader.
Her parents took to the streets and publicly named BJP national general secretary Dushyant Gautam as that alleged VIP.
Instead of an independent, transparent trial,
Oct 13, 2026, the BJP made Dushyant Gautam the Governor of Sikkim.
Under Article 361 of the Indian Constitution, a sitting Governor gets complete immunity: no criminal case can be filed or continued, no court can issue a summons, and no police can arrest him.
A 19-year-old woman is dead.
Her parents are still protesting at India Gate thinking they could get justice in this doomed country.
Meanwhile the BJP shields the man they accused with absolute constitutional immunity.

BREAKING: Mass Shooting Plot Targeting Sri Venkateswara Temple in Aurora, Illinois, Foiled
A 19-year-old suspected white supremacist, Alexandros Paporakis, has been arrested for allegedly plotting a mass shooting at a Hindu place of worship in Aurora, Illinois.
Investigators say the suspect had been planning the attack for two years and allegedly targeted Indians and South Asians.
Police recovered an AR-style rifle, ammunition and tactical gear.
A potentially devastating hate-driven attack may have been prevented.
Paporakis worked as a cashier at a Taco Bell in Arlington Heights for nearly seven months.
According to a co-worker who spoke to investigators, Paporakis regularly made racist remarks, particularly targeting Indians. He openly identified himself as a white supremacist and frequently spoke about Nazis and armed struggle.
I would never vote for someone who heckles at a wedding.
