Denial can sometimes be a reaction to trauma. The brain shielding itself from sad/scary memories. I understand why it happens... but it's important to learn from the past to protect yourself in the future.

The only reason these franchises even exist is because story tellers were allowed to create something and let an audience find it. This is such a depressing and cowardly way to run a studio.
