ALT JCPA STATEMENT: “While we continue to learn more about today’s attack on Temple Israel in West Bloomfield, Michigan, we should make no mistake: the Jewish community is living in an environment of real fear right now and each of these incidents only compound our concerns. “We have become far too accustomed to the frantic calls and texts in the aftermath of news like this — checking in on loved ones and praying that injuries are limited. “We appreciate the response of local, state, and federal authorities and synagogue security, and are grateful that nobody has been hurt at this time — but this should serve as yet another reminder that we need a whole-of-government and society response to address hate, violence, and extremism. “Our democracy is not truly inclusive unless Jews — and all communities — can live, pray, and work free from fear and violence. This moment demands real solidarity across communities to build a society in which all of us are truly safe.”

ALT Graphic with JCPA branding honoring Rev. Jesse Jackson. Text reads: “With the rest of the civil rights community, JCPA mourns the passing of the Rev. Jesse Jackson. For decades, Rev. Jackson stood on the front lines of the civil rights movement, fighting for voting rights, economic justice, and the dignity of every American — from the streets of Selma to the national stage. It is imperative that we honor his life and legacy by continuing the fight for the values he lived by.” Background shows a faded civil rights march scene. In the foreground, Jesse Jackson stands at a podium raising his fist. JCPA logo appears at bottom left.

ALT Graphic with JCPA branding honoring Rev. Jesse Jackson. Text reads: “It’s no secret that there were also very painful moments in Rev. Jackson’s relationship with the Jewish community, and he is a testament to the importance of engagement even when there are deep disagreements and pain. He went on to be a key ally to the Jewish community in the fight against antisemitism, underscoring the urgency of building strong, long-lasting alliances against bigotry wherever it exists. At JCPA, we know that the fight against hate and the defense of our inclusive democracy are inextricably linked — and Rev. Jackson’s life embodied that truth. As his family said, he was ‘a servant leader to the oppressed, the voiceless, and the overlooked.’ That charge does not end with him. May his memory be a blessing.” Background shows a faded civil rights march scene. JCPA logo appears at bottom center.

ALT Graphic from the Jewish Council for Public Affairs marking International Holocaust Remembrance Day on January 27. Text reads, “International Holocaust Remembrance Day. We remember the millions murdered — and confront the normalization of antisemitism, hate, and extremism today.” Below is a black-and-white photograph of railroad tracks leading to the entrance gate of Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp in winter.

ALT Graphic with a blurred background of a grocery store aisle. At the top, text reads “#SNAPDayofAction.” A bold orange banner says “TAKE ACTION:” and a blue banner below says “FUND NOVEMBER SNAP BENEFITS.” Centered text reads: “Urge Congress to Fund November SNAP Benefits and Avoid Deepening Hunger Crisis.” At the bottom are logos for MAZON: A Jewish Response to Hunger (40 years) and JCPA (Jewish Council for Public Affairs).

ALT Graphic with a blue background and the JCPA (Jewish Council for Public Affairs) logo at the top. Text reads: “This year, we embody the paradox at the heart of Sukkot: holding joy and sorrow side by side. We celebrate the beauty of our tradition and community while mourning the lives lost on October 7th and since. We pray for the hostages who remain in captivity, for an end to the war and the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, for peace and safety for Israelis and Palestinians, and for the strength to resist despair.” Below the text is a photo of a person holding a lulav and etrog — the traditional Sukkot symbols.

ALT Graphic with JCPA (Jewish Council for Public Affairs) logo at the bottom. Header in white text on an orange background reads: “JCPA Horrified by Attack on LDS Church in Grand Blanc, Michigan.” Below, white text states: “We stand in solidarity with Grand Blanc’s Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and with the entire Grand Blanc and LDS community. This attack echoes many previous incidents of brutal violence at houses of worship, including Charleston’s Mother Emanuel AME, Pittsburgh’s Tree of Life, Chabad of Poway, and so many more. No Americans should ever have to experience this kind of nightmarish violence—yet this attack was among 324 mass shootings in 2025 alone. This unacceptable epidemic of mass violence and hatred is growing worse, and threatens the fundamental fabric of our democracy.” In the background is a faded image of emergency vehicles. A small orange box at the bottom right reads: “Read the full statement: jewishpublicaffairs.org.”
